Hello Aussies!

I require a favour if it's not too much trouble. I need a Vodafone Australia pay-as-you-go microsim in order to try and unlock a phone which is bizarrely locked to Vodafone Australia.

I presume you can get the pay-as-you-go ones for free in Australia, but if not I will re-imburse you for the cheapest one available. So, anyone??

Let me know :)

If you get no luck, I'll ask my cousin who lives out there.

Wow ive really had a think about this and cannot see an obvious answer. apple and vodaphone are probably going to bopth be dead ends when requesting a subsidy pin because the phone is blacklisted. obviously reporting this as a crime is worth doing, incase the seller turns out to be either the owner or the thief! the only way forward i can see is to jailbreak the phone, which is going to require a little tech savvy. not a great option imo but would get the phone working

I'm not sure how uch headache you've been through already so sorry if im just pointing out obvious!

Hi

I live in Aus. Buying sim cards here is not as easy as it is in the UK. Here's Vodafone's info on what you have to do to get a sim: http://www.vodafone....ex.htm?mid=p303 You even need ID! If you get a sim then I'm not sure it'll work in the UK, whether you'd be able to activate it, or whether you'll be able to unlock your phone then.

I suggest contacting Vodafone Australia to see if they can help you. Their international phone number is +61 414 141 414 or you can email them here: https://vha.secure.f...us-by-email-lnk

Good luck! :)
