I have kinda rounded it down to a Blackberry 8520 or a Samsung Galaxy Ace. My budget is kinda low so I cant go too mad with it. I would really appreciate some input if you can. Thank yous very very much!!!!!!

I don't think you would use the blackberry 'properly' enough to justify the cost. Remember that even though they are really popular, they were designed as business phones. Also, the messenger service is pointless unless you have a lot of friends who have blackberries too, and you get charged £5 a month for the privilege of having it.
Galaxies are fun, and do that cool 'swype' thing and won't be charging you money for a service you might not get much use out of.

In that case, you don't really need a smartphone and you definitely don't need a blackberry. Even if you want to do some simple smartphone-type stuff like check Facebook, email, twitter and the occasional web page you can get half-decent apps on most feature phones (as they call them now).
I'd look on a site like carphone warehouse and use their filter thing to pick what you want, then go on price once you've narrowed it down a bit. Whatever you do don't go into a shop and ask - they'll just try and sell you something you don't need.
Are you looking at a contract or PAYG?

Model T330GI can text, talk, ride the wild web wave and take pictures. It was relatively cheap and it came with 1200 minutes. I've used about 25 so far. Seven of those were today saving Join Me.
I'm sure it's an excellent little communication device. I use it mostly as a watch.
has given my heart a change of mood and saved some part of a day I had rued.

I have a sim only contract (or something like that) with o2. I was given a blackberry but it broke recently so now Im using my nans spare phone until I can get a new one. I have to get a PAYG phone for my contract.
I used to have a touch screen samsung thingy but it got stolen when my bag got nicked about a year ago. I really liked my touchscreen (although it was a bit of a pain in the bum when wearing gloves), but I did have a few problems with it. Its just a bit annoying that I cannot remember which phone it was. Xxxxxx

Second, I'd guess you had a Samsung Tocco or similar? What sort of price are you looking at paying?

I havent. I asked about it in the shop but Im still thinking about it. I dont think Ive ever spent so much on a phone so it makes me a little uneasy.
I had insurance on my first phone (long time ago - 13 years ago) but when it broke they said it had water damage so they wouldnt do anything. Do they still say this???? Xxx

I have insurance through my bank account and water damage is included, so have a look around at a few different places - don't just go with the standard from who you bought the phone for!
