Ive tried going through my wall, page by page, but being as Im a bit of a facebook addict, it will take me forever to scroll back 2 and a half years!!!
I want to search 'Fenella' on my statuses so that I could record everything Ive said about her since she was born in a scrapbook. I know I should have thought about this before, but I didnt. Xxx

I'm guessing but... have you tried doing the download facebook data thingy it offers in settings, does someone more technical know if that saves it all to one neat package that can then be searched?
With a face like this I won't break any hearts, with thinking like that I won't make any friends

I just went through each facebook page - page by page. Its taken me forever, and it appears that facebook have deleted all my statuses over a year old. Any idea how to retrieve these???? Or any idea how I can contact Mr Facebook to ask??? Thanks!!!! Xxxxxx

I think Hebba has the right idea. In your account settings, follow the "Download a copy of your Facebook data" link. It's probably in some kind of useful format.
Incidentally, had you Googled "retrieving Facebook statuses" the first result would have been a Quora post asking the same question. The top rated answer is to download your data exactly in this way. That's kind of what I was getting at when I asked what you'd already tried, i.e., had you done any kind of independent research.
