Hi All,

I have just finished the book and had to join :D

After skimming through a lot of the Forum contents, I could not be happier to be joining such a seemingly lovely bunch of people. I am hoping that at some point, I will be able to meet some of you and we can 'assault people with loveliness' somewhere, someday :D

As the title suggests, not only am I a Joinee now, but also a Christian. I would like to think that the two co-exist quite harmoniously...I know from the book that it wasn't Danny's intention to start some kind of religious crusade, but I would like to think that were Jesus around in his human form today, He would have pioneered a Join Me collective also. Basically, it's a ministry of loveliness and loving your neighbours at the end of the day :D

I guess most people are motivated to join because it feels so good to be good, doesn't it?
RAoK in the name of goodness, in a world that sometimes feels a bit devoid of goodness, especially when you watch the news nowadays.
I'll just be taking this one step further and saying that feeling good feels good, because ultimately, God is good. And we're made in His image. It's how we're *supposed* to be... :D

I'd love to hear from all other Joinees...Christian, Non-Christian...whatever.
If you've joined a collective based on helping others feel happier, then you are right up my street.

Ciao for now :)

Interesting hypothesis. Got any evidence?

Hello, JK.

Welcome to the forum fold. There are all kinds of people in attendance here. Believers in God. Believers in Science. Believers in Ale. At the end of the day we hug and go our seperate ways with kindness to others in mind.

Whatever is good, whatever is honorable, whatever is right...let your mind dwell on these things.

Can I get you a cup of tea? Cheesecake?

Enjoy.

:) Hello, and welcome, JK. Do you have a name, or is that what you are called?
Do come in and make yourself at home - cuppa?

There are a fair few Christian Joinees, myself included and there are a great many joinees of other religions and no religion. All of them are wonderful people. Join Me does not, as a whole, take up any particular religious or political view, but Joinees are always up for a good debate (provided that it does not become hurtful, or turn into a slanging match)

The principles of kindness, friendliness and helping others sits very well with Christianity, I find, as I expect it does with many other religions.
Anyway. I hope you are well, and will soon find your way around the forum. Mum White.

Hello again everyone,Rory, Rachel, Poobah and Mum White :D

Thank you all for the welcome. It is very nice to be here.
Yes I would love a cuppa thank you, and I am just a little bit excited about the cheesecake. Especially if it's a chocolate one with a ginger nut base...nom nom nom... :D

Au Joinee Rory - I can only go by what I feel and what I choose to believe through faith...It's hard to believe in something you can see or feel, but every day we all take things on faith alone, big and small...How many times have you seen Pluto with the naked eye, but do you doubt it's up there? :)

Rachel - I'm all for the hugging! :D Not out to convert anyone...I just wondered if anyone else on here was running with the idea like I'd like to. I'm all for God, Science AND Ale...and not forgetting the awesome cheesecake :D

Mum White - I am finding my way round the Forum quite nicely...Didn't have much time to do my first RAoK today, but I made the effort to wish someone on here a Happy Birthday and also to tell a friend how much I love him :) I'm busy writing notes and saving pennies ready for next friday's Good Friday escapades :D

Fun fun!
Also set up a Blog to anonymously record what happens from now on...I'll post when it's up and running...I'm going with the title 'Kelly's ARK'...

That's my name btw...Kelly...or Joinee Kelly now I suppose. Note to self: Nip to photo booth tomorrow and make it all official :D

Sweet dreams and excellent starts to your weekends!
Kelly :)
