Driving down a country road on the way home form work, and someone came hooning around a corner and smashed into my wing mirror. They didn't stop. I had to drive home with no mirror which was really scary, and now have a day of hell with no car tomorrow. 6.20am train for me then... :/

Oh scary, Shelley! At least it was only your wing mirror though. I know it's a massive headache to have to get it fixed and all that, but it could have been lots worse. Hope you're OK and not too shaken up! xxx

My grump is at people. Feeling a bit left out and let down by friends (none of you lot, don't worry!). Rubbish. Luckily my day was saved from being entirely ruined by this feeling, but it's had me feeling a bit miserable for a section of the day. :(

Is York too far away? ( I presume you want a suit making or something similar) David had a fabulous suit made for his wedding but it was very expensive. Mum White.

My 14month old niece almost made me cry when I left Hull today. Said goodbye to everyone at my Gran's and went into the hallway to put on my shoes and go, and she came to the hallway door (which I had closed) and started banging on it and crying so someone opened the door and she ran over and sat on me for a cuddle with a big fat tear rolling down her cheek. :(

Now I have a big fat tear rolling down my cheek.

Do you sleep with an eye mask? Important thing is to use it always, even when sleep comes easily. That way you train yourself into it. x

I've tried eye masks and they don't help. I have NO lights at all in the bedroom, I even block out the display on my clock-radio.
It's a body-clock issue I'm sure. I sleep fine during the day when I'm on nights, but can't get my body-clock to adjust back easily.

You're right--it's almost torture trying to adjust if you're switching shifts back and forth. It took me awhile to re-adjust even when I was finally on a steady schedule. Good luck, Del.

I had to quit working Nights shifhts because I couldn't get my body clock right. Tis awful and I don't evny you. Little tricks that helped me occasionally though were hot chocolate and a bath before I wanted to sleep. My body associates sleep with those things so It sometimes helped me nod of. That or a really boring film.

My grr is that even though I have some lovely new jeans, they are a size 12. This in itself is no bad thing.

The fact that the last time I bought ANY clothes I was a size 14, and have lost TWO SODDING STONE since then, and have one measly clothes size to show for it, is my grr.

In m&s, asda, tescos etc, I am a size 8 or 10. They respect my hard work. TopShop and New Look do not. Don't get me wrong, they're comfy, and it is pleasant to not be showing off half my arse and dragging 6 inches of jeans under my shoes, but still. I worked damn hard for my "yay, size 8 or 10 jeans!" moment. And I don't have it. And seeing as I am the lightest I have EVER been in my adult life, and only 4lbs away from my goal, and the 12s are snug, I don't think I'm ever going to get it.

Minor grumble, but it made me a bit sad and demotivated this afternoon anyway :(

I find Zara the worst for me. I have to buy things in large in Zara. I know I'm tall, but having to buy things in large makes me feel like an elephant.

I also vary from a size 8 to a size 12, depending on what it is and where it is. I agree that it is ridiculous. It winds me up or makes me feel elephanty even when I'm not thinking about my weight/size, so I imagine that if you've got a goal it must be really demoralising. Stupid clothes sizes. Don't forget that it IS those shops and it shouldn't take anything away from what you've achieved xx

My stomach has shrunk. Not the horrible wobbly outside, the food containing inside. Went to an all you can eat place for lunch and made a very pathetic attempt. I know I don't want to be a fat girl anymore but I still want the ability to eat like one when the occasion presents itself!

Feeling that clothing pain. When a size 10 won't quite zip up because of mh chest, and then the 12 is the same...and then the 14 still won't cover boobs but rest is flapping about. Very annoying. I have a shape. This is not allowed in shops.

I wonder if the sleeping thing is age-related? After all, I've been doing nights for five years (although I do them more frequently now), and it's only been the last six months or so that it's been a problem.

Not grumpy so much as sad to the bone. It's my Dad's birthday. He would have been 84 today. I've been crying for ten minutes just wishing I could hug him and hear his voice.

I miss you, Daddy. I love you. xoxo

I admit I copied this straight from facbook because I'm too lazy to type it twice - how would you best like to answer the door? how about when your face is dry and red and blotchy because you've washed it but not had chance for moisteriser? how about being covered in spots because you're full of cold and as you haven't got as far as moisteriser obviously there is no make up. how about dripping wet because you were in the shower? how about when you have just massaged the shampoo in so your hair is a soapy tangled mess on top of your head? how about when the only towel you'd been able to find was one that 'almost' goes all the way round you.

Don't you love sods law.

What I didn't put on facebook was that as I ran down the stairs I was thinking 'that's either the postman or John, god I hope it's the postman' It was John, and yes he thought it was hillarious and has teased me mercilessly about my attempts to seduce him not working. - the git!

Lost count of the number of times my body has decided to break down over the last year. I have another set of strange itchy bumps after being ill for weeks. They are different from my "immune system throwing a hissy fit" (actual dr quote!) from September though. And no I haven't changed anything in my diet, detergent etc. My body is apparently just a stroppy teenager. Stupid body :(

Still have lots of witch hazel gel, aloe Vera after sun and piriton from the last time though, thank god.

Looks like having to be if I can't get the car sorted by Monday. Making the sessions £10 dearer each. But better than wasting them I suppose.

Driver side indicator went last night.
Light started working again this morning.
Light went again this afternoon.
Bought bulbs, went over parents' house and spent 20 minutes trying to change it.
Left parents' house and passenger side bulb went at the bottom of their road.
Drove home and spent another 10 minutes changing that one.
Checked other lights only to find driver side sidelight has gone.
Halfords again tomorrow? Why not?

My Father has the tact of a walnut; On showing him our baby's scan picture (which admittedly is just a couple of baby shaped blobs) Da seemed a little underwhelmed. But she'll grow up to be the most beautiful little girl in the World, I said. "All parents think that though" he replied "Once, we even thought that about you" Thanks Da
