So, New Year's Eve...
Will you be
-caught up in a juggernaut, wreaking havoc and destruction throughout the town?
-hosting an ungodly orgy of drunkenness and debauchery at your place, wall-to-wall vomiting and broken furniture, apoplectic rage at the pizza delivery guy who was ten minutes late, who you then look kindly upon and bestow an 80% tip?
-having a quiet night in, possibly a few streamers and adorning the cat with a conical party hat?
Turns out, I kinda gotta go to this thing...

I'm in my jammies, boiling a ham, waiting for Anna to come home so that we can go to bed and get some sleep
Early night, YES PLEASE!

Also in jammies, getting red-wined up on the sofa watching Pride and Prejudice while the washing machine does its thing...pretty much a normal Saturday night! I am planning on being in bed as soon as Ben has bonged thanks to having work in the morning. Even if I wasn't working tomorrow I'd still be having the same evening but I might have stayed up for Hootenanny

Made it all the way to about 10:00 last night, after watching a Jack Benny Program from 1964 with Peter, Paul & Mary as guests...

Did a twelve-hour night shift, and was absolutely flabbergasted that the train company only put on trains that were four coaches long.

Went to a house party, my mister was supposed to pick me up after his shift at 1 but it ended up being 5am because it all kicked off and I had drunk people trying to prove their sobriety to me by playing throwing knifes. Not cool. Dominoes, 2 taxis and police who weren't called got there before 5 ambulances that were.
Last night and tonight was LOADS better then NYE. next year I'm either sleeping through it or going away.

We had a really lovely evening. Quite a small party, only 25 of us, but good food, good wine, good music and conversation, then we lit the bonfire about 10 ish and had fireworks at midnight along with the champagne and sparklers
Last guests departed at 2.30 and I had doused the fire and got to bed by 3. Perfect start to what I hope will be another perfect year - though it's going to have to be good to beat 2011! Mum White xxx
