So, who's been watching This Is England '88?
It's not bad, but it's not nearly living up to the amazing level of quality of '86. Which was the best TV of last year by a mile, just fantastic.
I'm hoping that the first two eps so far have been building up to the final episode tonight. Also, this story is just bridging the gap between '86 & '90 which will be next summer, so maybe I should be seeing this as all build up to that... Still, hope it picks up.
If you haven't seen the original movie & '86 then make sure you watch them in order, they were phenomenal.

Yeah. It's a bit...lazy. Last time he used the "end of episode montage of shots over slow piano music" thing to AMAZING effect. There were three of these alone in last night's episode.
Also, I want Johnny Harris to be more rapy and nasty even if he IS just a figment of Lol's imagination.
So far it's a bit GCSE play. I want it to be better. It's annoying me that it isn't. It had better be better tonight. Woody had better kick off almightily.
I'm afraid I also don't believe FOR A MINUTE that any of them would be bothering to go to Shaun's play on Christmas Eve. Not for a minute. And also Shaun has eyes that make my face confused.

The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is to high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.
Never look down on someone unless you're helping them up.

I don't want him to get any nastier, I had nightmares about him last time, when she first saw him again this time, I just about fell off my chair. It's a shame for him as an actor but he's proper scary (to me anyway).

He's TERRIFYING. He just has a properly scary face. He's a very lovely man really. Or at least I choose to believe he is cos he sent me a DM on twitter thanking me for being nice about him in the Fades

Wow. Well, that was good. Joe Gilgun & Vicky McClure are just #!$&ing fantastic. Absolutely #!$&ing fantastic.
Although I was seriously wondering where the baby was in the final montage!
