Im hoping to make a christmas stocking soon and put Ash pictures on it (as they are the bestest band in the entire world!!!!!) I was planing on getting some pictures from the internet and transferring them onto fabric to sew onto my stocking. It would be for my own use and not to sell on, I just wondered if this was illegal???? Thanks!!!! Xxxxx

If it is for your own use its fine....

Copyright only comes into play when you wish to profit from it. They can't stop you printing a picture off and sewing it onto clothes or framing it on your wall if its just for you

And you know you can print out iron-ons, too!

I'm going to put your face on a wall. Your real face. You'll be like that woman who was just a giant face in Doctor Who, who was also the Mum in My Family, but on my wall.

Iron-ons are where you print out a picture and it is on iron on paper/material type stuff- I'm not sure what it is made of! You can buy it from most good material shops though I think.

You just print out your picture, cut it out and iron it on to the material though.

What Meeky said. You don't have to worry about sewing. Or sizing, really. Just pick the picture, print it on the iron-on sheet and iron! So cool! And easy. Busy times call for easy solutions.

You can buy iron on paper (usually called t shirt transfer paper) in WH Smiths. If its for anything other than a white background though you NEED to get the one for dark coloured fabric or you wont see a damn thing. Trust me.

I made all my Joinee T-Shirts that way. Works a treat once you get the hang of it.

I bought some t-shirt transfer paper from the pound shop. When I was in the states I rememeber seeing some cotton that it could be printed directly onto. I have to look into that idea a little bit and see if its ok moneywise, or if it will be a silly expense. Xxx

Don't need special material - anything should work

Thanks but I meant material on printable sheets rather than printing on transfer paper.

Oh noooooooooooooooo!!!!! Where can I get Ash images from???????? I thought this would be the easy part. I just tried to google 'Ash' images but just got loads of pics come up of some Indian lady or some cartoon Character. Tried the Ash official website and their facebook but theyre all newer pics and I wanted some older ones too. Can anyone suggest anything please????? Thank you!!!! Xxxxx

Google "Ash band". I just got hundreds of pictures. Also try googling thier actual names, which I'm fairly sure will be on their wikipedia page.
