Hi guys! I'm brand new to this Join me stuff and still need to send over my passport picture to Danny Wallace :D
Can anyone give me any ideas of a Random Act of Kindness?
What has you're best one been and how did the person react?

Hello, and welcome. Do come in and make yourself at home.
RAOKs need not be complicated or expensive - making people smile just by smiling at them is always a good start. Helping young mums get a buggy through doorways/up and down steps is good, as is offering your seat on a bus or train to an elderly person or someone who looks a bit wobbly on their legs!
I often buy some sweets in the supermarket and offer them to the person on the checkout. That often brings a smile. To do a really random act of kindness you need to be a bit opportunist. I think one of my favourites was when I saw two guys trying to bump start their van on a deserted country road. I would never normally have stopped, but I knew I had jump leads in my boot so I was brave and stopped to help them. They were so happy, it made my day! Good luck. Mum White.

Welcome; put the wheelie bin out for a neighbour who has forgotton to do so....give someone a lucky penny (I did; the person bought a lottery ticket & used it to scratch the surface off; they won £25!)

welcome to JOINEETOAST

i tend to let ideas approach me as opposed to finding one. today, i saw an appeal for a charity event from someone i don't know but i still donated £5. i've got an account with justgiving so it takes seconds.

vending machine raok? leave the money or the product in there for the next person to find. easy, random and anonymous if needs be.

welcome to the forum.

Yes! Sponsoring a stranger is my new favourite. I did that yesterday on Just Giving, just a few ££ to someone random who was supporting a cause I believe in.

Also, toast is one of my favourite things, so - hello :)

Hey again!
Thanks for all the good ideas. I love the one with the anonymous vending machine, the wheelie bins, money to charity&giving up my seat on buses and trains!
I've always done that last one anyway so I just need to keep it up!
All of your ideas put a smile on my face as I thought nobody would reply! so surely you can call this a raok? Thank you all! :D
