(Cross-post with fb, apologies if you see both!)

Hello lovelies!

This Christmas, my Junior League New Member class and I are helping to throw a fabulous Christmas party for a group of women and children who are currently living in shelters here in London, having escaped from domestic violence, prostitution, human trafficking etc.

We are working hard to throw a great event for these families, to give them a marvellous Christmas treat. And this is where I'm asking you to come in (hopefully).

We've got most of the party costs covered, we're planning games and treats and fun aplenty, and I'm running a toy drive at school for gifts (each mother has a choice of gifts to choose from to give to her child/ren on Christmas day), but we're running low on one vital party ingredient.

Sweets.

Candy.

Sugar.

So, darling lovely folk, would any of you be interested in helping us to reach our candy quota (as it were), please?

Essentially, we would like lots of two sorts of candy...

Firstly, very small sweets and candies to decorate minature gingerbread houses (one of my hugely talented Junior League buddies is going to help 50 children construct a village of 50 minature houses!). So, we're talking Jelly Tots, Smarties, Strawberry Laces, M&Ms, Skittles etc.

Secondly, we're running games and the like and making party bags for the kids, so treatsize/funsize candy of all descriptions would be amazing too.

If you would be able to help, I would be so, so grateful. If you'd like to do so instead of sending me a birthday/Christmas card/present (if you were going to, delete as applicable!), please do feel free to - I know this is an expensive time of year!

If you'd like to help, let me know here. London folk, I'm sure we can work out drop offs/pick ups, and to out of towners I can pass on my school address where packages are received by the wonderful staff whilst I wrangle with English/maths/forming coherent sentences!

The party is on December 10th, so I'm getting this out well in advance. Thank you so, so much in advance for any/all help you may be able to give. I'm am so blessed to have wonderful people who I feel able to ask things like this.

Thanks for reading the massive missive! I hope you're all enjoying the start of the best time of the year. :)

I was hoping for a bit of Sammy Davis Jr...

If you remind me at K, I'll pop round to Sainsburys and pick you something up.

Thanks, Neil, both for the offer and the earworm!

Abad, that would be wonderful. I don't have a Paypal but my boyfriend does, I will ask him for details.
