Hey Joinees.

My university are running a competition - submit a business idea in 140 characters or less. Here's mine. You'd be doing me a real big favour if you voted it up. (You don't even need to register!)

I heard one this morning that seemed quite profitable: Buy a brick of cocaine in Colombia at $2000, sell it in the US for $100000, a fifty-fold profit. Seems like a good return on your money for just the cost of transportation. Even when you adjust for the exchange rate and increased transport cost, I'll bet you'd still end up in the black.

I voted on several, but don't know whose they were; most of them seemed more like "There should be..." ideas rather than ideas for a business. I remember that one of them involved a cartering business, but I don't know how much call there is for moving things around by cart anymore. Although, come to think of it, maybe a rickshaw franchise around the campus or town might go over well...

Yeah, so the link is busted, and the website seems pretty temperamental. Sorry about that guys! Granted some of the ideas are more, as you say, just ideas, but I found some of them quite amusing. The sire really isn't playing ball, so I can't fix the link atm. but you can check the site out if you wish. Or this thread could be left to die. Either way, not fussed!
