I was walking my dogs yesterday and found a sheep all tied up in fence wire, so I tried to catch it and free it (having tethered my dogs). It didn't seem to like me much, so then I went and found the farmer and we tried together, but still failed. The farmer was very grateful and went to get his dogs, so hopefully poor sheepy was freed eventually.

On a random note, did you know that sheep with black faces have black legs and sheep with white faces have white legs?

I saved a sheep from wire fencing once! It freaked out at first but when it realised I was helping it, it just stayed properly still while I worked its ears and wool free from the fence. And then once it could sense that the fence was looser around its head, it pulled back to free itself and trotted off a few steps. And then she stopped and looked back at me and went "baa!" to say thank you.

It was ace. I felt like we'd really bonded. :)

Hooray for helping sheep.

I love sheep! I want a jacobs sheep or an Ouessant sheep. They are only the size of a small dog & quiet. Do you think my neighbours would mind?

ha ha! Just seen that my avi is a Jacob lamb. See what I mean?

That's awesome! Sheep can be really stupid sometimes.

Snowberry, We keep a bunch of North Ronaldsays - they are the cutest!

I am frequently charged by sheep. I say frequently, I am not often in their fields, but most times that I am they tend to rush me... only they don't quite know what to do once they get close, it's probably a bluff & they get a bit confused when I don't run off. Obviously they're not aware of how unthreatening they are.
But they can really shift when they want to, I think I'd have a hard job catching one if there weren't so many.
CHEESE AND WIIIIIIINE!!!

And they can also be quite crafty!

Biddle's story has made me think of the best thing I have ever created.
