Right, can we please nail down 13th/14th or perhaps both in some way? I can make either, but need to get sorted.

Timmy, I know its free but is it ticketed? (I know they do that sometimes)

Looking at the map, it's damn smack in the middle of town, which is handy for trains etc. but is going to mean all the pubs are rammed. On the other hand, it's just next to the Cafe Royal which does amazing food, so I may get there early :)

I think we are keeping with the original date of the 14th, but as I am not from Edinburgh, I can't make any decisions about meeting points, places to go etc...

Aha, didn't realise you were still there on the 16th. Serves me right for not reading the thread. A pint early on might be nice if you are free and then I will do my best to get to the gig.

From what I can see it is both free and unticketed and is immediately followed by Robin Ince. So its totes worth settling in for some chucklez and lolz and ting.

Sivar just drop me a message on something (twitter, fb?) A drink'd be grand

Cool. Will do, as can't quite make out from this thread where the gig actually is!

Ok what is the plan? I am looking at trains and reckon I shall be at Waverley Station at approximately 5pm.

Sheli, I am looking at you as the instigator of this here meetage :ninja:

Well, as I have said already, I can't choose a meet up place as I don't know Edinburgh! I don't know where Timmy's venue actually is, or any nice places nearby... I was hoping Joinee Ashcroft or someone else nearby would be able to suggest something, but so far, no-one has!

The venue is not far from Waverley station - about 5 minutes walk max.

Hopefully this map makes it clear

Consequently, there are tons of meetup places, but because it's right in the centre of town, they are all going to be busy. If people are looking for food, then I can recommend the Cafe Royal, which is virtually next door to the venue, but it's always busy even when the festival isn't on so I'm not sure it's really suitable to try and meet up with a big group.

There is always the Wetherspoons just down the road - the Standing Order (added to the map)

I don't know Edinburgh really either. I think at most I go there once a year on someone else's suggestion.

so on that note, Waverley Station 5:15-30pm and see where we end up??

Not sure yet, we've got tickets for stephen k amos tonight and then another show tomorrow (both at the same time as Tims show), but we've only got two tickets for each and there's four of us (cos moy folks are up)! So we'll work out who's doing what and we'll be there at some point to see you guys and see tim's show either today or tomorrow too. Complicated eh?

I've been wandering in and out of the Guildford Arms this weekend, without luck. If I don't find you all, I'll either wander past Tim's or try on Monday with SiVar.

Indeedy. Great gig. 'We Are Goose' warmed everyone up and it rolled from there.

I even got a song dedicated to me. Although the fact that it was a song about Tim having an incestuous relationship with himself was a bit worrying....
