Right, after the small discussion on the About the forum section i think we should have the high street, see how it goes. If it fails or becomes annoying then it can be removed. If it's good and used then possible for a sticky?RULES!
  • This is the only topic on the forum where the "This forum may not be exploited for personal financial gain in any way whatsoever" rule does not apply. Any posts advertising your business outside of this topic will be removed by a moderator.
  • Everyone here who is looking for business is allowed 1 post on this topic (acting as a "shop window").
  • You can edit your post as many times as you need to make it look good, add special offers or change your content.
  • Each shop window is allowed a maximum of two pictures, they must be reasonably sized and suitable for work viewing.

I suppose this is where I can show off that one of my oldest and bestest friends (and fellow Joinee, you may have met her at Karmageddons) Kate has written and illustrated a wonderful children's book*. It's about a Magpie who tries to steal the moon. It's the type of story to read aloud to young children as they look at the wonderful colourful pictures (all the images are collages that she's toiled over!)

Here it is on Amazon

:)

[You do not have to buy it. Even if you could just find it in your local bookshop and sneakily move it to a more prominent posistion, that'd be lovely!]

*This has always been her goal in life, so I am immensely proud.

We have just set up a new venture, The Coolski Beer Company selling all-grain beer kits for home brewers.

Posted Image

We currently have a trial on ebay of our English IPA kit at half price (£9.99).

We will have a shiny new website at www.coolskibeer.com very soon, with more recipes, plus the option to create a bespoke 25 litre kit for any beer recipe.

The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is to high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.

Never look down on someone unless you're helping them up.

POLICE, CRIME & 999

Posted Image

Ever wondered what really happens behind the scenes in the police?

What bizarre 999 calls are made to the emergency services?

Why can wearing two pairs of socks make you a suspect?

What is the link between police and vampires?

Which Royal arrest never made news headlines?

Where was the Abominable Snowman found guilty of gross public indecency?

Why do some women offer to take their knickers down when police knock on their door?

What covert sign do officers make when they no longer wish to talk to you?

Get your ‘Access All Areas’ pass to discover the answers to these questions and more, as PC Donoghue reveals all in his fascinating and hilarious account of a year in the life of a front line response officer.

Reviews

Ambulance Today heartily recommends this warm, witty, compassionate and down-right hilarious read by John Donoghue (Ambulance Today Magazine)

Police officer turned author, John Donoghue, has a unique way of telling his stories in a way that makes you incapable of hiding your chuckling self from the world ...and cause your sides physical pain (The Crack Magazine)

It is fantastic and I have not stopped laughing …It should be in the best seller list or prescribed as a ‘pick me up’ (Editor, GiddyLimits)

This is a message to all Kindle users, especially those of you who know Curfew (Andy Nicholson)
He wrote a book a long while back, about his experiences as a builder in germany and, mostly, about the serious accident that changed his life. The book has been out of print for a long time, but today Almost Auf Wiedersehen went on the Kindle store. It is a fascinating story and it would be great if a few folk would buy it - go on - you know you want to! Mum White x
