My favourite bit was the dancing man on fire behind the girl at the start of the video.

That actually looks pretty cool! I liked the idea of the trailer being shown backwards. Worked very well.
Everything I say is purely opinion until proven to be fact.

Well, this is ok. Not great so far, but ok. It's a very different game to what I hoped it would be, but that's not to say it's bad. The story, which I'd hoped to be really good; quite slow & oppresive, is a bit shit (much more Resident Evil -esque... but not as good, because stupid as all the Resi stories were, I actually quite enjoyed them) & the characters are all either vapid & useless or complete t***s.
There's no deciding who your character is & it's nothing to do with the family in the trailer (though there's a nice reference in there near the beginning). Instead you have to choose from one of 4 thuggish &/or cliched stereotypes, who, other than their awful 90's SEGA arcade quality backstory have hardly any differences between them once you start levelling up.
The gameplay is actually not bad though. I strongly recommend turning off the enemy indicator & damage dealt readings, it's much more tense & fun not being 100% sure where the zombies are coming from & if that last blow you dealt one actually killed it or if they're just prone, ready to get up the moment you look away... & you're not sure if you want to give them one more whack just to be sure, because your weapons degrade & you do NOT want to it to break & be left without one.
The levelling system is quite good too. Not very realistic of course but quite RPG like & with lots of different directions to go in.
