There's a new little person in the world right now, so please join me in welcoming Godzilla 'Danger' Ranner/Hayden to planet earth. She - for she is a she - was born at teatime tonight, and weighed in at a whopping/average/cutesily tiny (delete as is correct, as I don't know about baby weights) 3.9kg, which is about 8lb 9oz in old money (I think).
Mum and baby are both exhausted, which is only right considering that they've been trying to seperate for around 65 hours, but perfectly well. If he's got any sense, dad will be enjoying the brief lull between birth and not sleeping/hearing your own thoughts for a few years.
Raise a glass, or whatever else you have to hand, and welcome the newest addition to our merry band. She's got so many uncles and aunties already...
Congratulations guys, I look forward to meeting her.

65 hours is a scary long time, I may have to ask for a debrief to prepare myself if it could take that long! Can't wait to meet her - she can communicate through my belly to our one and give her the babytalk lowdown on the outside world.
