Jamie was masterful but alas he let two in so we lost. He kept about 35 out mind... :-)

it was a good match.  Team South fully deserved to win, although it did look like we might equalize for a while.

Of course, Team South clearly chested by fielding people who can actually play ;)

It was a hell of a match, although I'm not sure it was played in the true Nvs manner - 3 goals in a game is just not right, surely...

I was very proud of our mighty side, and pleased to see that everyone gave their all, and left it all out on the pitch. I'm sure we shall all be aching tomorrow...

I am quite hoarse from shouting. My legs, however, feel awesome for once despite me running far more than the past two years combined. And I only fell over once.

I thought I'd get ahead of the game and start aching now! Regardless, I did actually really enjoy it, even though we lost. Though if I could get to the kitchen and back without wincing that'd be even better!

Well done South; I am am sure North did proud though.

Standards must be going up all round, with so few goals.

Or down - that pitch is FAR bigger than it looks on tv, and I wasn't going to run all the way up the other end to score! ;)

In other news, well done team AWESOME (that's team North btw) I'm glad I didn't do too much damage either! Once I realised the ball wasn't THAT scary I did try to kick it a few times :)

However, I do believe that a crucial thing has been missed out - why was there a MAN of the match and no WOMAN of the match :o I can only assume that this was BLATENT sexism, and not in fact that you were including us fair ladies a fair chance to be man of the match (but were just too bobbins to do so :P)

I hereby declare woman of the match to be TIGGER for hacking down Captain Cooke and giving him a very impressively coloured leg ;)

Rach, Tigger did win Man of the Match in ' 08 but yes, she is awesome.
It was an excellent game (well, by NvS standards, I doubt the Premier League need worry), helped by both teams having a full complement, and thoroughly enjoyable for the full 90 minutes.

Great game!

Rothwell - Really gave Team North a chance to win it, lots of saves, reminiscent of Almunia for the first 40 minutes vs barca. Superb!

Worm - Heart of the defense, didn't let anything by, great positional play, legend!

Watson - A performance like that while being that hungover, wow. Speed, determination, slightly ill looking, great job!

Hatchard - Malaria ridden, who would've known. Brave, a real asset to the team!

Smith - Clearances aplenty, endurance, a rock on at right back.

Roberts - Super-sub. Never have jeans and trainers achieved so much!

Haman - Gilberto would have been proud of that performance filling the hole at the back, ahem. Throw in of the season!

Johnson - Determined, energetic and far and away the best piece of individual skill of the match!

Gray - Speed, commitment, 110%. Enough said!

Gleeson - You can tell he has played a lot of championship manager. Gutsy, profanic, the stuff that stuck the team together.

Rem - Attack, defense, hair, he brought them all in abundance. Franz Beckenbauer has competition.

Cooke - Goooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzziiiiiiiiooooooooo!!!! A mixture of tevez and paul scholes, and I don't mean after Scotty knocked your jaw off. Superstar!

Ranner - Vigilant, observant, present, awesome!

Team South - Lucky.

Thanks everyone for a great game!

Thanks to Rem's performance, I now have to alter my sig.

Oh and Sean played a defence-splitting through ball, early in the second half, which was truly one of the best I have ever seen, at *any* level of football. Even better than this one, and this was awesome:

I'm sorry, what?

Are you actually serious? North lost 2-1?

You aren't going to make me come back next year and let down my family are you? Seriously, I have a weekend away with my dad, and you lot go and spoil it all. Well I guess we're just going to have to hope that I can make it next year, because it seems that the record is still intact:

If Bee plays, North win.

Aw, shucks Del...

I do remember the exact ball you mean though. I imagine I was probably just tryingto get rid of it before being tackled.
