Every year I come to GGF determined to speak to people that I don't know. Last year I was appalling and didn't really speak to anyone. SO..

GGF resolution is... to have a proper conversation with 3 people I don't know (and not getting silly shy).

Anyone else got a positive resolution for GGF?

(ooo, and 2nd one is that I will make it to the club this year)

I will make sure I'm always within easy reach of food, so that my body survives the weekend.

And yes, I *suppose* I can speak to some new people too.

This GGF I resolve to actually pay proper attention to things going on and being said rather than being distracted by a) alcohol, b) shiny things and c) alcoholic shiny things

Talk to more people, I agree.

And buy more stuff because the money always goes to good charities, and I'll introduce Lucy to everyone. Everyone I know, that is, which isn't many people. So I'll introduce myself, then her.

*sigh* I'll go to another thread now, perhaps.

Yes, I think Joinee CLeary and Lucy may be some of the 'new people' I talk to! whether they like it or not. I might just follow them around until I speak them into submission. That's pretty much as aggressive as joinees get on the Friday.

Saturday doesn't count.

This year, I shall be handing out lots of sweets! I just bought lots from Sainsburys, and I have made some little leaflets to stick to each :)

My resolution is not just to approach teenagers and twenty something women. I never seem to approach men or thirty plusses as they tend to be less likely to accept. But I shall try my best anyway! :D

Mine is to make a straw efigee of Craig and then use "this one is for Craig" as an excuse to get squiffy.

Oh, and try not to come away bruised and with a lump on my head / collapse in bathrooms repeatedly / fall asleep on the loo / have to be escorted back to the hotel and have people bribe security to let me in. Maybes I shouldn't use Craig's efigee straw to drink any Jager.

...im ok with this, never let it be said Craig's efigee isnt one to get a lady squiffy! as long as blame is placed on the efigee and not the entity!

craig's efigee frowns upon the yager!

I will wear my new dress. I shall also accompany tor on her meeting new people mission. If the new people are lucky we'll perform i predict a riot for them. I shall let someone else do the tombola. I shall get nice and merry. I shall go to the club. Win.

Oh, and as has been my resolution every year since 2007... I shall not be the victim of another drive by shooting :-)

I will try and remember people's names. And not accuse people of saying things that they didn't say (sorry Tor!).
I will try and talk to new people also, because the last two years I haven't done that enough but especially as there are new people who seem very interesting, and with whom I actually have somethibng in common.
I am seriously considering the club (I went last year (or maybe the year before) and it was fnu, and it's v. near my hotel) but I will have been up since before 5am, so we'll see.
And I will do my damnedest to lead Team South to victory.

I shall not be falling asleep on the bus on the way to Mark's and waking up 10 miles outside Nottingham. On the last bus.In a pretty rough area(by all accounts).Mind you tis a shame cos I had some pretty good nattering wi the local 'yooofs' who came to look at the strange man not wearing trackies, hoodies and reebok classics.

I think I may have baffled them.

Well, I'm sureI achieved my goal. I spoke to loads of new people and even the people who aren't new but that I have orbited around for the past few years without actually speaking to.

Lovely to meet Reece, Britt, Gaz and very briefly Lucy and Cleary and also actually now know what Anna Short and Stevie's voices sound like.
