Dear all,

We now have the official final total raised at this year's Loverpool festivities. As the inestimable Miss Tigger has volunteered to up her contribution from around £296-odd to £300, I can now confirm that the grand total, to be split equally between Claire House and the Mongol expedition is:

£534.10

This is a tremendous amount, and tops our previous best by nearly £100. I can't thank you all enough.

Oh, and there's also still the hanging-in-the-air matter of whether or not Rory would like the title that was suggested to him. We wait with baited breath, and may have updates in the future...

Sigh. Can't we all at least pretend to be grown-ups occasionally? Except Biddle.

That's brilliant! As I didn't end up winning anything in the auction, would you mind if I rounded it up to £550 for you?

Aw Neil stoled my idea, so there are two liverpool joinees who owe me cash (you know who you are) so give it to Laurie and I shall round up the rest to £600 as I missed out too!

No need for a title for me. Tigger won that auction (all of it) fair and square. But I had a charity budget for this meet, and it's hardly fair for me to hold on to it just because Tigger's even crazier than I am.

That makes it £800.

(Though I'm going to wait a little while until my financial liquidity improves—moving internationally isn't cheap.)

I said it in the title thread, but I think it bears repeating here - I think we can safely say that the amount now donated can safely be spelt WTF?!

That's absolutely awesome, in the literal sense of the word. I am in complete awe of your generosity and selfless ness, and can't thank ou all enoguh. £800? Amazing. You've all made some ill kids and mongols very happy.

Though I have no idea how we top this next year. We may have to sell about 20 Titles...

Awesome and awesome!

See, Sean, I think it's fair to say my valuation of your "Because Rory looked so disappointed" title was more on the (and of the) money ;)

£800 is immense: we couldn't have done it without you, Team Loverpool! x

I paid tax in the UK for the first time about a week ago. It's now finally possible¹ for me to check the, "I pay tax. Give this charity more money," box when donating. It seemed like a good time to finally donate what I promised, with the extra gift aid bringing Loverpool's total haul to:

£856.42

(assuming no-one else took as long as I did to get around to paying.)

Hurray!

¹ For "possible", read "non-fraudulent".
