Hello. Sorry, I've been rubbish. I've been on a training course most of last week, and again all of this week (don't get back home until late Friday night)

I'm bushed now 'cos I've been up since 4am, but I'll try to get some timings / plans up at some point tomorrow.

For starters though, we'll be meeting from about 1pm onwards, but don't rush if you have hotels to check into etc. I'll make sure everyone who needs it has my mobile number. :) We'll probably eat at about 5:30 / 6, but that's dependant on the buffet being able to guarantee Sean his duck :)

I assume your number is the one that you've had since forever, so it's still the one I've got? :)

And ok, that's all the vague timings I personally needed. I'll see how my uni work's going, and get there as early as I can, coz I wanna come pllaayyyyyyy!

Thanks Neil :)

OK

I'm in a charitable mood
We'll have to go up on saturday morning and i've got room in the car.

We're concluding when i might come back - once that's done - there may be a return trip leaving to arrive in Durham on Sat at around 12 (so leaving brum at 9) and then getting back to brum at around 7-8pm on the Sunday (so leaving around 5pm from Newcastle/Shouth Shields). If i'm not working we'll be coming back on Monday.

this may help someone - so PM me if it does and we'll see if there's a way to accomodate ya!

Rich

Erm Gaz and Janey just up the road planning on driving too? if no one else has has asked for a lift thn it would make sense for us to go together if thy are ok with the times etc

Then i can spend the entire time there poking Janey and trying to lick her face, ah it hasbeen to long since i have managed to scare her in a confined space.

(Rich call me later if you get chance when you land)

Lou! I will be around online tomorrow morning then I'm not sure where I will decide to stay on Friday yet. Newcastle or Hexham- if Hexham I will be able to get online but if town text oui?

Edit: I clearly made no sense. I meant if I decide to stay in Newcastle from tomorrow to Saturday I might not get online before then!

Well yes, but so are you. I was only thinking yesterday that I'd lay money you were having your hair done this weekend and it'd be a great chance for me to (because you wouldn't let me cancel through fear, you can keep me company and talk about weddings, and we get to make most of the time). I even know what I want for a change. I'm a new woman.

See you all Saturday!

OK, so the plan. As any of you who have been to a Durham meet before will know, I'm not one for military style precision, so this is fairly free-form, and there will be opportunities for people to wander off and do there own things if they want.

We'll meet from 1pm onwards at the Swan & Three Cygnets on Elvet Bridge. For anyone who has been before, this is our traditional meeting pub. Anyone who doesn't know where it is, either ring me or ask a local - they are largely friendly and will point you in the right direction. Once we've gathered together a goodly number of people, we'll mosey across to the Half Moon's beer garden for jugs of Pimms. At this point, there will be an opportunity for anyone who wants to explore to go off for an hour or so. Recommended things to do would include a visit to the Cathedral, or hiring a rowing boat.

Depending on what time we've decided to eat (I'll check the other thread later today and see what the concencus is) we'll then head off to InShanghai for the buffet, and then we'll move on to Varsity for vodka and sambuca jellies and Annie's favourite Creme Egg shots.

Anyone who needs my number - PM me. If you've had it previously, it hasn't changed.

Also, if anyone's arriving before 1pm, ring me and I'll come find you.

Ah - ignore my post on the other thread! We shall lead the team of "folk who want to explore" then :)

Depends when you'd be coming back really - we've got to be home by probably 5ish on Sunday or a small cat will be very annoyed and hungry (and this could lead to "dirty protests"). If that's the case we might be better off pootling up on our own so we can nip home a bit earlier if you guys are going to hang around for a bit...

Me and Annie. Don't know what time.

I'm waiting to see what time we're eating before I decide what time to head in. I think Annie'll be going 1-ish? I need to text her, really.

Um, well yes, you could do, I don't have a problem with that... BUT I reaaaaally don't know what time I'm aiming for yet! And you might want to get there earlier than me if I end up going later.

It might be easier for you to get Neil's number and he can give you directions from the station??

Let me know what you think :)

Are you still ok for meeting me at the station? If so, could you text me. Cheers :D
