Damn. This looks like a really good meet, didn't really know anything about it so didn't think about it til now... but cheapest travel/accommodation we can find now will cost us both about £150+ for one night which is not an option. No hostels in Durham at all, that sucks muchly.

There's a hostel in Newcastle, and a guest house near us called the Alexandra Guest House which may be an option worth trying?

Also, there are funfares available on National Express coaches. If you don't mind getting the overnight coach from London to Newcastle on the Friday night, you could do it for £22 (£15 for the 23:30 on Friday 1st, returning on the 13:30 on Sunday 3rd for £7)

Also, blimey! 18 people on the rollcall already! And there's a couple more that I know of who haven't put their names up yet. I'd better start doing some actual planning! :)

I'm thrilled by this rollcall! Loads of my favourite people.

If anyone isn't planning on eating at the chinese buffet, can you let me know please, so I have an idea of numbers to book for. I'll get an idea of price at the weekend.

It's the Crispy Duck meet Tara! We eat Crispy Duck!

Except last year where we went to an earlier sitting...before they started serving Crispy Duck...

I think we tend to go earlyish cos it is cheaper! About half five- six?

I may be wrong though.

The earlier buffet is cheaper but has no crispy duck.

The later buffet is more expensive and had crispy duck.

Maybe we need a poll...?

It's better to count your chickens before they are hatched, cause chickens run about so frantically it's impossible to count them accurately.
