Hehe I still have the original pack somewhere in my pile of Join Me stuff, along with the the bank notes you created and numerous and varied badges from meets gone by!

And I *think* I still have the Find Raymond Price game somewhere...

I have an idea for Joinee Top Trumps that involves creating a blank page for people to download and make their own, play at Meets, exchange with (or win off) each other, then maybe by next Karmageddon I'll be able to collect together the most popular cards (and most popular interpretations of people) and make a new Official pack.

I have never played top trumps.

But it sounds fun.

I have in my head a 1000 blank white cards sort of thing. Is it like that?

Never.

I mean, I've seen them on sale. And people playing them. But I haven't been paying attention.

Stevie Stevie Steve, you break my heart.

Just on Sunday I was in a tiny games shop in Camden discussing with Toby and not-the-boy the illegalness of folks our age not having ever played Top Trumps.

Just what did you DO as a child?!!?

We must rectify this situation.

I fell off things.

And into things.

And on things.

And under things.

That's my childhood in a nutshell.

I have never played Top Trumps either...I've had it explained, but I think it may be one of those things that doesn't make sense if you learn it too late!

The whole day was amazing, but i was quite pleased to get the guts together to actually have my photo taken. With Danny, no less! He looked scared. I looked scary tho so that was fair enough.

I have never played top trumps. Up til now i never felt like i'd missed out at all.

Quote

Gareth: If you like Top Trumps, you should come to me. I've got about five different sets. Don't try to beat me at Monster Trucks, though, 'cos you won't. My speciality.
Rachel: Yeah, it's a game of chance though, isn't it? It's what you...
Gareth: No, it's not. I would know what cards you've got immediately just through what cards I've got. I used to play it by myself, with a dummy hand just testing out every different scenario of which cards would beat which other cards for hours, sometimes three or four at a time. But put in the work, the rewards are obvious. So I'd know exactly what card you've got in your hand from what cards I've got and I would know, probability wise, exactly what feature to pick on my card to defeat, statistically, any card that you could have in your hand at that precise moment. You will never win.
[pause]
Gareth: Could still be fun, though.

I love Top trumps....

Hey! Don't be too hard on Northampton, without that place there would have been no NWIN....

Think how grim the music scene would have been without those pioneers of washboard/skiffle/glam/rock/whatever.....

:( I've never played Top Trumps, either. (Just confiscated lots from little boys trying to play under the desk in lessons  )
My daughter has a pack of Plop Trumps - yes, it is what you think it is! One of my silly sons got it for her birthday!
Maybe a competition (a trump off? ) could be a less athletic activity for the proposed Join-me Olympics? Mum White x

Sorry, continued threadjack!
