Very happy Visa man on Regents Street.
The TopShop boys - especially the one who was given the mic by Goldy and thanked his mum and gran (who thought she was a spit-fire pilot) in the middle of Oxford Circus.
Huge group hug which involved lots of the TopShop boys.

Every time I rummaged for something in my bag having forgotten that I had a pic of Craig Bellamy in there, thus leading me to yelp with glee every time I spotted it.
A guy saying "THIS IS THE BEST RANDOM DAY EVER!!!" after hugging about 3 of us.
Every time someone would silently walk up, give me a huge hug, and then walk away again. Without a word exchanged from either of us. It was strangely beautiful.
Everything!
"I daaaaannnncciiin' like a monkey!!!"

Danny saying I'd "done a lovely little picture" for the silent auction, then calling himself on being a tad patronising.
Anna's speech.
Learning the way to do the perfect high five snap.
The Topman guys.
And much much more.

"He's looking very Tom Baker this morning, isn't he?"
A lovely relaxed Thai breakfast on a friday morning, with such lovely lovely people as Kate, Del, Phil, Sivar, Coyote, Holly, Andrew, Claire, Chris, Andy, Anna, Dan, before THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM!!
Chris staring at Dinosaurs, Mine and Holly's eternal (40 second) battle over the Coriolis effect- "Holly's more of a clockwise person" - Del, The dinosaurs, finally showing another Joinee a picture of young David Attenborough, and him agreeing that it bore more than a slight resemblance to Biddle, five people simultaneously jokingly convincing me that goats are not extinct, the Hygge of The bunch of Grapes pub as I shared a pint or two with Del and Sivar, neither of whom I had met properly before, and here I was enjoying a cosy chat in a Knightsbridge pub with them - absolutely wonderful!!! Travelling on the train with Sivar and Del, the latter proudly giving a tour of his kingdom to me and Sivar.
Getting Dave the Wizard as a gift from Jamie and Amanda!! Thank you guys!!! And meeting his real life counterpart on Regent street on saturday!!! London Zoo Kate (Is that a fair label?) and I hugged him and he said "Merry Christmas! Take some misletoe!" I was so excited that I phoned Jamie to tell him about the wizard!!
One of the more unfortunate memories of the day for me was sending Goldy's pint of Cider crashing to the ground as I extended my hand to greet Curfew. Not the slickest of Introductions! Sorry Goldy, Sorry Curfew!!!
Meeting so many lovely people on Saturday, including (But not limited to): Joinee Lee from Cambridgeshire, All the way from York: the turbo hugging machine that was Joinee Davy, the legendary Joinee David, Wopunga ("You like Nintendo AND Bill Bailey?! Me too!!!"), London Zoo Kate (whose job I want - watch out!!), Jonathan from Norway (what was your favourite word again?), Stuart and bro and Bro's gf, Rory, Eileen (and the related conversation that sprung from the German "Cheers!"), Big Sal and mum, Boris and Foreman (Like Waldorf and Stadtler from the muppets but nicer), Janey and Gaz!!! Hooray! The real life conversation was as stimulating as the virtual ones (No sarcasm there, Gaz. Or there. Or there. By the way, what was that Book called again? I knew I'd forget it!), Douglas Gresham, Crazy Dave, Ben Ranner's cheer and goodwill, That chess game, Chez's infectious buoyancy, Stevie G, Anna, Siobhan and her smiley smile, Philadephia Hatchard (always nice to meet you, despite the limited time) Clare and her boy, and the memories of Rhinoceros molestation, Lou's Joneseseseseses and her Nelson Mandela on a jetski, Laura's suggestions for Tile pictures, Wilf reminding me that I had just done the original RAoK - make an old man very happy - by giving the old man sitting on a bench a wind up penguin torch for his grandchildren, I met Tim Kennington at last!!!!! Joezilla and the metal discussion!! "Danny, do you think he looks like every character from The man in the Iron mask?" "Yeah, There is a bit of that!" Oh and the St John's contingent - Darren and Sarah (was it Sarah? I may have been all named out by then, but
the talk was good), Polish!!! Polish and his inimitable eccentricity!!! Ah Si, and Stefs and Marta bringing the Italian flavour!!!
Also the people I didn't get to spend as much time with as I would have liked: Sheli, Coyote, Craig, Jamie, Amanda, Sean, Scotty, Katie Boo, Joezilla, Laura, Rich B, Scotty, Tigger, Emily...See y'all at the cock sometime hopefully!!!
And the conversation with Danny!! "How are you doing with that?" He asked, referring to Hernaic. "Oh, I've laid off it a bit, apart from emailing your show, and texting your show...."
Oh, and apologies to Holly and Andrew and Sivar and anyone else I've forgotten for the Drunken gushing!! That sounds wrong, but you know what I mean! Apologies to Charlotte for introducing myself again!!!
And I love the fact that at K4, I left the cock quietly, drunkenly and relatively goodbye-less. This year It took what seemed like hours to say goodbye to everybody!!!
"Tom, I'm going to get you the best cocktail you've ever tasted" I'll hold you to that, Joe!! If both you and I remember, of course....

At one point Gaz won something on the raffle (I think?) and so I said to her, "That's Gaz, from the Edinburgh meet..." coz in August '04 me and her randomly went to a Join Meet in Edinburgh, at which we met Gaz and Worm and Eli and Zena and Neenot and Gresh and all sorts of people like that. She looked thoughtful for a moment, then went "........stodgy!!!!" I burst out laughing, then completely in unison, we both went "That is the stodgiest thing I have ever eaten!!!"
4 and a half years on, and I still think that Worm making Gaz eat fruitcake and cheese is one of my favouritest join meet memories. I don't know why it was so funny, but it was. They have probably both forgotten it by now, but I love that it popped immediately into Kate's head

Tom Jones, my son, the word was hugu. Some time I'll try to explain why, better.
I've been smiling and feeling good ever since. I flew home today, when I left for Stansted they said flights would be disrupted from 9 hours to three days - I left on time, met a friend at the airport taking the same flight by chance, and got home early - good karma must be spilling off of me?! Those random hugs are awesome...

Catching up with old friends, hearing how their lives have changed since I lost saw them (loved Kate AG's Christmas party story - she's an amazing ice-skater, you know, and picks up strangers just like that!).
Making lots of new friends, or at least talking with lots of strangers (I warn you now - I remember faces but I'm terrible with names!)
Elliot (the elder)'s dapper outfit, and portraiture of fine ladies. In glorious Pragian 3D.
The number of people willing to have their nose pressed and to make funny noises for the sake of a small child.
Most of all it's got me in the mood to start using my creative powers for good again, and start working on new leaflets and schemes, like I used to in the good old days. For a moment I even reconsidered updating the Joinee Top Trumps, but that's going to be a mission of monumental proportions.

Zoo Kate! Brilliant! Sounds like a type of plankton! Anyway, we can look up at our Mossy Pictures and appreciate them simultaneously! A picture by Mossy, I hasten to add. Not a picture of Mossy!!
Edit to add: I wasn't hasty to add that last bit because I couldn't appreciate a picture of Mossy, just because it would be weird if Zoo Kate and I were simultaneously appreciating a picture of Mossy...I'd better stop talking soon. This is like one of those sitcoms where they keep on talking and it makes them sound stranger and stranger.

You're not looking at a picture OF Mossy? Um... yeah, me neither.
Yay for cheering at my name!
Highlights: basically the entire march of hugging, made me so happy - I had acheing stiff shoulders the next day - this has to be the most awesome reason for injury ever. Hugged many, many lovely people.
Best stuff in the pub was seeing so many people I'd not seen for too long - Heulwen, so glad you made it, hope you weren't in too much trouble for missing a fricking wedding! Nick, good work on the giant Free Hugs sign, this made it a lot easier to seem legitimate to understandably-worried passers-by. Gli italiani, of course... Making JJJones jjjealous of my job, learning the amazing things Brand Shiny New Joinee Dazza will drink (sorry D). At the risk of turning into a giant list, generally being surrounded by friendly faces old and new.
Can't do GGF this year, but will try not to leave it til K7 this time! Thanks also to those who made my housemate Mike feel welcome, he felt the march was really special, hugged many strangers & will be back for the long haul next year.
Big Love,
xx JZK
