The following is based on the advice on the Join Me wiki (here).
Please note that K:VI, like other Join MEets, is a collective effort, organised by a loosely associated group of people who neither form nor represent any kind of "official organisation".
Joinees usually try to make every effort to make meets family-friendly — a huge number of Joinees are young people, and also there are many entire families who have gotten involved together.
However, nobody will be "in loco parentis" of unaccompanied children, so parents should consider coming along with their children. It's particularly important to note that after the day's fun on the streets and parks of London, we will finish up in a function room at a pub, and those under the legal age will not be able to join us in the pub.
At meets, people often stay overnight in hostels such as The Generator, at hotels, and on the floors and couches of local Joinees. But children are asked not to stay overnight without their parents (or other suitable adult, pre-arranged by the parents). Permission is not enough — we ask that a parent (or other suitable adult) accompany each child, because none of us will be able to spontaneously accept responsibility to be the "responsible adult".
We're very sorry about this restriction, but we know you will understand that this is for everyone's safety and enjoyment of meets.

Advice for children and families, (Particularly about staying overnight) IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR UNDER 18s

UPDATE: This year's venue only allows under 18s until 6pm. After 6pm anyone under the age of 18 will have to leave, whether they are accompanied by an adult or not. We're sorry about this restriction, but there is nothing we can do about it.

Further update: It has been suggested that it might be nice for those of you who're excluded by this, be you familes, under-16s who have their parents' permission, or 16-18 year-olds, to perhaps go to a meal together at 6:00 p.m., rather than having the day end then.
There should be ample opportunity during the day to meet each other and decide if you'd like to do this, and pick a place to go.
So please don't be put off; come along and have a great day!
