Afternoon troups!

As some of you will remember from last year, we need you to get a ticket if you'd like to come to the venue after the march. You can get your tickets NOW here...

http://buxton.joinees.org/k6tix/

Tickets ARE transferrable, but please be aware that your name and email address will be printed on them - so don't give them away to total strangers!

We will NOT have a guest list on the door, you will need to print the tickets and take them with you. If you don't have a ticket, you can't come in!

Please, only request tickets that you actually expect to use. If you requested tickets but never received a confirmation email, please get in touch to check - you probably just missed the email (or it got caught by a spam filter).

You can come back again and print extra tickets later - but we will have problems if everyone prints off far more than they're going to use. We will have a good stock of spares available on the day for people who turn up at the last minute, or if you're unable to get a ticket through the web. If you know you've printed more tickets than you need, please bring the spares with you so we can pass them round. If you LOSE your tickets, you can print them again from the link in the email. If you need MORE tickets, please request an extra batch by using the form above.

So, get ticketing....

Done times 6. Out of interest, surely there were some people who hadn't filled out tickets last year, especially those who don't use the forum - how did you guys deal with that? I assume you just let 'em in if they looked nice and polite :)

nope - certainly not. "Adolf Sweeney" (a.k.a Flexo) or myself "shot 'em" on sight, or as they ran away.....
If they got past us then Anna used her nunchucks and broke at least two of their limbs

We then - in the spirit of the thing - donated all non-ticket bodies to a science charidee!

One person did sneak past....."i wasn't even mad.....just impressed"

YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WARNED!

Richard is almost right. He just left out what I'll do (not suitable for a public forum).

There is a Facebook Group with some non-forumers then there's Danny's mailout, both of which send people to the ticket request. We also have spares on the day to hand out before the march, but frankly if we just let people in without tickets there would be absolutely no point having them.

How dos.

Is there a cut off point for the tickets?

Can I just priunt em out in the morning? Does it matter if I print and don't turn up?

Casue I may have to kick people in the head on saturday day time and probably won't be up for coming afterwards (as I need and early night before Sunday's head kicking commences...).

But if the head kicking is already up to stratch then I shall be there! I just won't really know until the day...

If you order them now you can print them out on the day. There is a cut off point for numbers so it's better to do it sooner rather than later. If you end up not needing them just let us know and someone else can have them if needs be!

NOTE: There's a minor issue with the webpage when you order your tickets. The fields for "email address" which you must confirm are CASE SENSITIVE. other wise it comes up that the "addresses don't match."

just a word of warning.

Yes - what you type in to the "confirm address" field has to exactly match what you put in the main "email address" one.

There is a hard-limit set on the total number of tickets that can be requested, but a "cancel" link is included in the ticket allocation email which allows you to surrender those requested tickets - provided you have not yet printed them. As far as the system is concerned, putting your email address and Ticket Code into the "collect tickets" page and having them displayed on your screen is equivalent to printing them out.

Once printed (or at least collected for printing), tickets can't be cancelled - so on the day itself, we'll be using the total number of "printed" tickets as our advance-warning estimated headcount.

(If you get into the situation of having Collected/Printed your tickets but then knowing for sure that they're not going to be used by anybody, please let us know. It's not a Huge Disaster - we'd rather have that, than have people leave it too late to request / print them and then be possibly turning up ticketless.)

Del, got yours.

If someone else has already done it, let me know and I'll release them again.

You may wish to remind me late next week that I need to print them off... but the emails for yours and mine are together so I'm sure I'll remember!

I requested two tickets, but will only use one. But I'm not on the RAoK March, so I won't be able to pass them to anyone in advance, I don't think.

Unless I'm around in the day on Friday. Which I might be.

The phone number on the ticket is a spare prepay SIM that I use for this sort of occasion. It goes into a spare cheapo Nokia phone and serves as the Hotline for the day.

It's called the K6 Hotline. We do suggest putting the number in your phone in advance so you can ring us on the day if you need us - it's 07941 84 84 83.

If you've printed them out and then lost the piece of paper, you can re-print them. Just go find the email and print them again - but if you do find the original ones, please only use one set.

If you discover you need more tickets than you originally requested, you'll need to go round the whole process again and put in another request to get another set of tickets.

(All of the tickets you're actually going to use on the day need to have different serial numbers on.)

Emily's tip of the day...never put anything 'somewhere safe'! That's how I managed to find my GGF train tickets 6 months after GGF.
