Ok peoples...

The time draws near, so we should probably lay out some kind of plan.

On Saturday July 12th, The Brighton Pirates:Redux will take place...
We are taking it back to the old school - somewhere between how it was the first time, and how it was the second time...

So.
The place to be is Brighton Pier at 1pm. Once there you will meet your Chaperone, Miss Rebeca Mary Yates.

Becky will escort you to the each which shall be your home for the large part of the day (although the sand has gone, we're strongly leanig towards being in the old spot mid way between the pier and the marina)

There will be joyous festivities on the beach including

  • A Picnic (Please bring foods to contribute to the Picnic fund)
  • A fancy dress competition with a time honoured and deeply respected trophy at stake
  • A RAoK Challenge
  • The traditional Pirate's treasure/scavenger hunt
  • Nautical combat out to sea

Come the evenign time (around 9ish) it became commonplace for joinees to wonder off and do there own thing and drift away. Normally ito two factions - The clubbers (who go clubbing) and the beach sleepers (who sleep on the beach)
To stop this factioning Becky has reserved space for 30 people in a simply lovely pub in Hove called the Robin Hood (the few survivors of last year will remember it as the place where we sneaked away to eat pizza). This pub Has the Kieran Turner "Crusty Hippy Seal of Approval" and has cheap pizza and is generally relaxed and lovely.

This will end the Saturday

Sunday expect the following things to happen (in roughly this order, but with certainly no timescale)
  • Fry up
  • Shakeaway
  • Waltzers
  • Horatios

Look forward to seeing those who will still be around Saturday evening.

Don't let last year put you off people.... Last year was not organsied at all.
This year has had the most organising Becky and I have ever put into anything. We want it to be good. We wat it to return to the relaxed family friendly joviality and mirth.

Have you organised dead people on the beach for us to watch?

I'm not coming unless you have.

Plan is good. Me and Anna will probably aim for the last-but-one train home, so we should be ok to actually *see* you Tim!

hoorah!!! This does look awesome :)
The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is to high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.

Never look down on someone unless you're helping them up.

Sounds perfectly delightful, Mr Kennington - hurrah! I shall mostly be escaping prompt-ish on Sunday (and there was me thinking this would be the first Brighton *ever* that I got to lounge around on the Sunday! Ha! Likely story) but might make up for it by arriving on Friday night (is there a Friday night plan?). Whoop!

*slaps self around the face and reminds herself to read other posts before asking stupid questions about Friday night*

That is all!

I'm in with the In-Crowd.

I go where the In-Crowd goes.

When you're in with the In-Crowd

You know what the In-Crowd knows.

Like when the last but one train back to London is. Which I shall know. If I'm there. I'm almost tempted to not go. But I think I will.

Oh, and I probably didn't sound thankful to Tim & Becky for organisationalness earlier. Which I am. But they probably figured that. Because they know I'm the thankful type.

I hope.
