RAOK for my friend in Brighton
#1

Hello to all the lovely brighton goers and pirates... I say yaaarrrr!
So this is the deal... A guy called Ashley Hames... the guy who used to present Sin Cities on Bravo, who had a show called Mans Work and the guy that was LIVETV's News Bunny, not to mention the guy who came up with the idea of televised topless darts, is releasing a book... his memoirs of the sin cities show. He will be doing a reading/signing on the saturday we are all in brighton.
I said that i would go along and I would try to get some pirates to go along too and he's really up for it. There will probably be some press there so it would be great for join me to go along and support him/RAOK him in this way.
The idea of a load of pirates turning up to Borders bookshop to see Ashley is also good and will be a nice bit of publicity for him.
(I've just read over all that and I've rembled haven't i?)
Basically I would like a roll call of people that would be willing to pop up to the Borders bookshopo with me on the saturday and say hello or "yaaarrr" to ashley and raok him by giving him your support. He's a very nice guy and will come and join us for a few drinks at the beach afterwards with My friend Stu, the publisher.
So... grab your cutlasses. Don your eye patches. Capture a parrot. Cut off one leg. and everybody that is coming to brighton this year say YAAARRR!!!!
Whos up for it?

The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is to high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.

This may also be a good time to put a call out to you single ladies.
Ashley Hames is not the sort of man that you would look at and go "wowzers he's a hottie and a half". He is, however, the sort of man that will charm the very pants off of you and turn you into a giggling wreck like mess. You will probably end up being almightily seduced if you come within 10 yards of him.
Tighten those corsets and hitch up those skirts.
I will be keeping outside of that 10 yard radius. I just can't take the risk

my sentiments exactly!
he makes my legs wobble from the telly... mind you, that is less than 10 feet away from me, but still, pretty strong swoon-rays to travel over the airwaves!

Bum, I'll be at the Chap Olympiad, but I'd have loved too. I used to quite like Sin Cities! Any chance you can convince him to come along for a bit in the evening?
