"Are you unable to come to the pirate party this year? Are you faced with the fact you may have to sleep on the stoney beach? Are you unable to come because you cant afford the hotels? Have you been injured in an accident at work that wasn't your fault?
(forget the last bit)
I have been so bored at work that I have decided to put together a little list of places where you can stay in Brighton that are cheap.
They are mainly hostels, but look really nice.
I figured that there are some people on here that don't mind sharing a room with other people so this may be right up your street. (when i say other people i mean joinees)
First up we have the Walkabout Backpackers. I couldnt find a website for them and i dont think they do internet booking... but there is a phone number. Oh.. and it says its about £20-25 a night. They have various sizes of rooms.
I should point out that this one should only be for the people who intend to go clubbing and be out until the early hours. The hostel is right above the walkabout bar/club... and one website boasts that, should you be in the club, the dancefloor is only 5 metres away from your bed. (possible noise before 2am then) but you do get 20% off food in there.

Next up we have the seadragon backpackers hostel

Newly opened, you can still smell the paint*.....*may not be true
They have nice looking rooms and are right near the beach. £35 per night. thats for the double room. Its cheaper if you have a 4 bed "dorm". Again... if people dont mind sharing.
Slam dunkin' into the next spot is Baggies
Its right on the seafront... i think near the pier.
It looks to be the most fun place to stay and has some very good reviews. The decor is "eclectic"... which i just took to mean that it hadn't been re-decorated in the bast 30 years.
They have double rooms and "dorm" style rooms which sleep more people. You get linen when you arive... "be it winnie the pooh or floral" (lonely planet guide)
I'm not entirely sure how much it is per night... but give them a ring.

For those of you who would prefer a hotel then there is this place.
West Beach Hotel
Its a very basic hotel, but looks very friendly. I got a special rate from Easyhotel. I quoted for 2 nights (11th and 12th July) for a twin room (double was the same) and it was £160 for the two nights... which... split between 2 is not that bad for a hotel.
They have a website which says that the rooms are from £60 - £90 a night... so if you could get it for the £60 thats only £30 a night each...bargain!
01273 323 161 Give 'em a ring and haggle!
Failing that... go to easyhotel and select brighton. (its NOT an easy hotel btw. it is a hotel that does special deals through easyhotel)
There are a couple of campsites in Brighton as well, but they are a bit further out and I figured nobody would want to do that.
I hope this helps.
If I find anymore I'll add them to the list
I now hope that a few more of you will be able to come
Jamie
