Right, there is engineering work between St Pancras and Blackfriars that weekend, so trains WON'T be leaving from St. Pancras.

We have two options, London Bridge (trains every half-hour - same service that would normally call at St. P) or London Victoria (trains also every half-hour)

Trains from Vic are about fifteen minutes quicker and (I think) more comfortable. Also have some VERY cheap tickets available (from £3 single!): http://www.southernr...php?page_id=499

Both are easy to get to from King's Cross and the other London terminii on the Tube.

Yes, I am quite prepared for the amount of ribbing I am about to get for this!

I have managed to buy *three* return tickets from London to Brighton, and only need two
So, if anyone wants a FREE return train ticket, out on the 11.06 from Victoria and return on the 21.49 from Brighton it's yours.

First to shout by PM gets it!

Last minute I know, but is anyone traveling from London Bridge? I may have just cooked up a storm and where better to dispense of it than Brighton Beach? Transporting it all the way alone though may be interesting, although I do have my handy luggage trolley if in doubt.

Just in case anyone doesn't know. The only train to go from London Bridge is the sow train. There's a significantly faster one that goes from Victoria, stops at Clapham junction & then is direct to Brighton. It goes once an hour on Saturday.

Just to let you know that the Sow train isn't like catbus... don't expect a magical part train part female pig hybrid.

What my fat handed #!$& of a friend meant to write was the slow train

Sounds fun though - would it have a sow-train song like the catbus song?!?

And more on topic, I'm getting a lift from the most awesome person in the world *mum white* - but will be training it back whether it be a Sow or slow!
