Hi guys

Just a quick thank you for everyone involved in sorting out my injury on Saturday. I dont remember much in between it happening and getting in the ambulance, but I recall loads of people around me helping get my boot off and carrying me off the pitch and into the ambulance.

Official diagnosis is torn knee ligaments, manged to put weight on it yesterday for the first time but it was F****** painful. Went to my local hospital (as advised by the lovley people at Queens medical Centre in Nottingham) and they said that there should be no permanent damage. It Still swollen and my ankle is double its normal size and has a great big bruise on it but they reckon I should be back to full fitness in about a fortnight.

Special thanks to Mr Jamin for a) Coming to the hospital with me & B) Not being too smug when telling me that Team North won.

Hope to see you all soon

Richard

Glad to hear you should be up and at em fairly quickly mate. As an ex sporty boy i'll say yeah-give it 2 weeks-and the rest. Tis an injury that will keep coming back to haunt you if you don't look after it in the beginning.

Hope it goes quickly for you.

Nice one matey - sounds like you're on the way to recovery.

I echo what Scotty said - take care of it now otherwise it'll be a pain for years to come.

Argh, I've done that before, and I do not wish to repeat the incident. There is much pity heading your way, whether you want it or not.

I've never seen anyone dig deep and take the inevitable pain quite as well as you did when that shin guard had to come off!

Most impressive
As was your playing on the day sir!

Shame that you basically "fell over" really isn't it!!! ^_^
