I expect he spent all of his money on repairs to his shoddy German car...

Do you know it took them the ENTIRE first half to even work out how to get the bonnet off!

dunno the sourthern scorer stats, but i think the fairness league has north on top due to gatesys red card
Gatesy: 1 RED
Rem: 2 YELLOW (might've been a 3rd also. not sure)
Scotty: 1 YELLOW

think theres another yellow apiece, but not certain and dunno who they were given to.

I believe Craig Drought got a yellow last year? I seem to recall discussion of a fine to charity...

Blimey, I'm North's top scorer.

Just to pointlessly add my opinion once more - by playing into the wind for the whole first half, and coming out at half-time only 1-0 down, I think North went into the second half clear favourites.

A combination of bad luck of the ball just not falling for them, and a couple of instances of bad finishing, as well as Team South defending in numbers, meant that it took a long time for Team South to eventually being broken down.

I think the wind being so strong at the beginning of the second half actually made it a bit difficult for the North, as it resulted in so many players being camped in the South's penalty area.

Team North were all over Team South for the first half of the second half. When the wind dropped a bit, a bit more space opened up which then allowed us to capitalise. That and there being less players on the pitch, probably.

Yes, numbers played a part, but if you can't put a strong team out you can't use it as an excuse for losing. It's a reason, not an excuse. Team South lost because they weren't good enough.

How come no-one's written up a Sun-like Player Ratings thing yet?

I'd do it, but modesty prevents me... (and I can't be bothered right now).

Sean 'Spaca' Gleeson

Plays like the very devil on the back line. Holds his defends well against the pitiful charge. He'll norp any southerner that comes in distance without alerting the ref! Handy with either foot and could kill an ox with a footy or his arse at twenty paces 8/10

I enjoyed most of the game. Apart fae playing with an ankle that felt like it had broken glass in it. And is now still swollen( i have purple toes).

Well done to the Northies for playing a tactically better game. Bring on the only player that has any inherant speed for the last 10 mins(tired or not). Without him i reckon it may have ended up a draw.

I'm suprised I didn't get a nosebleed. I don't think i've actually taken any players on like I did in years(yes YOU Matty Bee were skinned, twice in a row!!-on the same mazy run).

But all in all muchos fun was had.

Vic and Mark-you played a blinder in keeping me away fae the game.

And if Warrens wasn't a goal then there's no way in hell that your lob was(whoever scored it)-and i shall stand by that.

Just to add-i've been throwing up for a day or so now, I hate losing that much. Always have.
