So are Team Notts.

Obviously.

I shall now think through all my thank yous.

And then post again.

Thank yous then (apart from all of Team Notts, whom I've already mentioned in the bloody thread title - what more do you want? - jeesh!) go to:

Del - for the Mix CD of awesomeness, and for being Join Me's rail correspondent.

Claire - for chatter on the "party" train. "Party" largely meaning "trying to get some kip" in my case. Claire wasn't stopping me doing that, by the way. The chatter and the trying-to-sleep are entirely unrelated. Oh, that's Pikey Claire, not Primary Claire.

Zena - for thinking I'm responsible enough to be a leader of RAoK marches, and that power wouldn't go to my head.

Martin Kneller's duck - for being mean, and beating Cody into second place.

Roboduck - for his comical attempts to push Mark's powered duck closer to the bank to help him win.

Mrs J - for chatting to the chappish-looking street violinist, and persuading him to come to the pub in the evening, thus restoring my faith in Orchestral Manoeuvres in Broad Daylight. Even though for some reason I was too shy to go and say hello to him.

Rem - for not stealing my shoes.

The Barman - for being so amused at my desire to drink hot cordial in a pub that he kept giving it to me for free.

Jo - for suggesting I go back to the hotel with the girls (they wanted to get changed for the club) so I could have a nap, just before 9pm. I woke up at 10.23, and went to bed properly. I had eleven hours in bed, it was awesome. Like me.

Team North - for being so great.

Team South - for being less great.

The Team North Cheerleaders - for all the hugs.

The Salutation Inn - for the hot toddy.

Siobhan, Jo, Steve and Anna - for the company home.

The Guardian - for the world's most frustrating spot-the-difference.

And everyone really - it was really chilled out this year and I didn't overdo anything which was exactly what I needed.

I may NEVER warm up. I hope that photos of me watching the football never come to light, not my finest fashion moment but at least my ears were warm.

THANK YOU to Team Notts for organising what is and always will be my favourite meet. I had a great time :D Photos will follow on facebook ;)

Thank you to Friday nights club team for striking poses and pogo'ing with me till I had to give in shortly after Firestarter and go to bed. Brilliant night, never been so sweaty in a public place ;)

Well done Team North for being properly Northern and for playing in sub artic conditions and winning in spectacular fashion :D You're better than Steve and you've always been better than Gatesy.

Bath and bed now xxx

I'm not ungrateful just knackered. I want to come back to this when I'm awake enough to remember who I want to thank.

Actually the tiredness is a bit inexplicable considering I had to be back at the hotel with Cody early and haven't even been drinking at all but I'm absolutley exhausted.

Obviously, the biggest thanks to Team Nottm for a *fantastic* meet! Two GGFs for me so far and both have been wonderful!

Phil - for his kind words on the CD, although having seeing him play yesterday when supposedly 'ill', I'm not sure I'll ever believe him again :D

The Party Train crew

Jude - finally got to meet Jude and she was wonderfully lovely

Pikey Claire - for finding 'Don't Falter' on the music at FM&C and for convincing me to go to The Cookie Club

The 'Jamins - for the effort that they put into the football

Richard Atkinson - for sorting out Team South kit

Sarah & Tigger - for their starring roles for Team South

Everyone who contributed to an exceptional game, given the conditions

Friends who I had a great time with - Jen, Holly, Andrew, SiVar, Jane, Worm, Sam, Martin, Jon and loads more

So, what date is Good Friday'09? I need to book a hotel room...

I'm so sorry for you Sivar. I've just about developed the technique for stopping it , but I feel your pain.

Crikey beanstalks! That was AMAZING!!!!! (and this from the girl who is usually ridiculously scathing of more than one exclamation more, let along more than two...)

Thank you thank you thank you to you fabulous wonderful folk I've just spent the weekend with - and specifically...

Team Notts - without you, none of this would have been possible. This was BY FAR my best GGF so far - and given it was my fourth, that's pretty darned good! Woo!

Mrs Sweeney - for some fabulous giggling on Friday just like the good ol' days ;)

The Jincoln - for still existing and being there to have an (albeit brief) catch-up

John & Zena for loving ice hockey as much as me and facilitating getting me to a game for the first time in AGES (and the lovely Zena for a fabulous discussion about EVERYTHING during the game)

Mr J for being Mr J and amazing & the best man to have around in a crisis (and most other times too)

Em for being even more gorgeous than usual and a great walk home on Friday night

Heather & Dan for being fabulous long-term (read three night) roomies

Worm for being a fabulous first night roomie

Claire for being AWESOME and the most PHENOMENAL late night chatterage...bwaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha *the face*

Stooz for asking me to play football

Tess for being gorgeous & lovely

Everyone who played a part in my ending up on the turf at some point during the game - that was *fun*

Whoever the crazy it was who decided I should get M.o.t.M. - I'm still glowing from it :D

Wilf for peppermint tea

Jo for being Jo

Vic for making me co-favourite non-Notts joinee with Jo

Atkinson for being an absolute hero about being seriously damaged and very dedicatedly still making it to hockey

Siobhan & Stevie G & Anna for letting me fester in a corner

Everyone who listened to me moan about achey muscles and didn't tell me to shut up

...and absolutely everyone who I had an amazing time with but who I haven't mentioned about because right now I can't fit all the amazing memories into one bit of headspace because I'm just reeling from the general amazingness of the weekend

That. Was. Awesome. You guys...

The Red Hot crew - for the fun and food.
Jamie, Boo and Jason - for a fun and chilled Saturday night.

Fantastic weekend. Who would have thought I could have so much fun without alcohol. No this doesn't mean I won't be drinking the next time I'm child free.

Thank you Team notts for all the effort of making the weekend ace.
Katie for coming to find me when I arrived in Notts
Everyone who played with or entertained Cody making her smile and therefor making me smile. In particular Mrs J and Laura.
Cody for making me happy (this isn't restricted to GGF though)
Twinkle for paying for me and Cody to go on the big wheel.
Mum white for accompanying us on the big wheel. Thank god you were there. Can you imagine if it were just me and Cody when I was trying not to freak out because of the wind.
Holly for nice chats and hot chocolate.
Everyone who text me when I was bored back in the Hotel when Cody was in bed.
Team North for winning
Sheli, just for being there and for having a tantrum when I ignored her (I didn't hear you, honest)

I'm sure there are more that I have missed. Iwill come back when I remember.
If you hear of something bad happening in Halifax... I did it!

Thanks everyone, the weekend was spectacular

A great big cheers to Zena, Vic and Mark for being my favourites and for the effort that they all put in to this weekend.
Rory - For the delicious and pretty luminous pink drink
Adam - For turning in to a terrorist, turning me in to a terrorist and bringing his lovely but evil girlfriend (why didn't we photograph that?!)
Dan - For VERY wrong Thursday conversation, being the terrorist overlord and putting up with several hours of "Big Bang Theory"
Scotty - Och! For a kick up the backside at the Sunday breakfast and for having a fat arse.
Steve (the Bear) - It was lovely to meet you.
Emily - For being a glamorous assistant that makes Debbie McGee look like a bit of a tramp and for her awesome fundraising efforts
Thomas - For putting so much in to the match and accompanying fundraising... sterling work sir.
Ben - For the team north kit fundraising and accompanying another star in the form of Richard Atkinson in the ambulance.
Andy Sweeny - For the photos and general charming company
Stooz - Make it so.
Simon Varwell - For jokes, not being angry with me over the CD's and for doing the CD swapping thing.
Mum White - For everything she did to keep the cafe organised while everyone was on the pitch on Saturday morning and for lots of tipsy chats.
Everyone who took photos - The joy of memories flooding back!
Everyone who put money or effort towards the charity in any way, it really does mean an awful lot to me.
TEAM NORTH: I quite simply love you. All.

I think I got to chat to most people this year and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I wish I could mention everyone by name, the list above is by no means exhaustive as so many of you made me laugh and made this meet excellent. I've not even mentioned half of the people I'd like to... I'm lazy. Thank you EVERYONE!

Big thanks to everyone involved in making GGF so special,

Zena, Mark, Katie and Vic for....the whole thing really!
The Jammins for organising the football

* no I'm not just randomly picking on Katie, she was laughing about that on Friday.

Bless her

There may be a photo of me surrounded by tall blokes on Friday morning around somewhere...

Zena wanted one of them to marry me for the comedy value.

I'll miss people out for sure, so an all encompassing "everyone" to make up for any omissions
Team Notts for organising it, especially Zena for making it look effortless and Mark and Vic for keeping me company in the dying minutes of Sunday afternoon (last man standing again!)
John West - one of the few people who can get away with calling me "the big gayer"
Teams North and South for an excellent display of sportsman(andwoman)ship
Matt and Claire - two of the best friends a boy can have
Sean and Laura, my constant smoking buddies
Ben for his sterling work organising the football kit
Em for not minding me accidentally groping her arse
Thomas for taking the Orange sponsorship in good humour
Jamie for tolerating the snoring
The cafe staff for coping admirably with excessive tea requests
The staff of Via Fossa, Fellows Morton and Clayton, the Sal, the Trip and the Roebuck (apart from the miserable git who complained about having to make "#!$&ing tea")
The brothers Kneller, Jen, Stooz, Wilf, Heulwen, Warren, Chez, Worm, Sam, Rory, Helen, Hebs, Andrew, Holly and everyone else who made the trip worth every penny
DWH for the three goodbyes
Chris Knight for being Chris and making me laugh so much
The newish people who I didn't spend nearly enough time with but who all seemed lovely (Stevie, Robin, Adam, Anna, Tess  et al)
The fairy modfather

Basically everything other people have said, but I mean it.

A massive thankyou to *everyone* - the old friends, the new ones, and those people I hadn't spoken to as much as I really should have before now - I'm so pleased I got the chance to do more of that this time.

And of course - Team Notts. You frickin ROCK!

GGF is my favourite meet of the year and this one was bloody ace.

THANKYOU!

H.

You're a sweetie for mentioning me when I think the only thing I said to you all weekend was "hello Neil"

But then that was pretty much the case with most people. I was too busy chasing after the small person. And at least I remembered not to call you Phil.

Thank you so much to Zena, Vic, Mark, and Katie for organising; to Vic, Mark and Katie for putting me up; to Katie for being my guide for much of my between-pub travel; to Scotty, Robin, and Claire for being particularly entertaining at various times during the weekend; to Laura and Hebba for making it so crowded in here, I'm sorry, can I just squeeze past; and to Vic, Mark, Zena and Scotty for dragging me to Rock City.

(And preemptively to Seán, Laura, Jamie and Amanda for making Loverpool even half as good as GGF was this year, please. ;) )

Muchos thankings to all Team Notts who made that the most fabulous weekend! I really needed that and you delivered. With bells on and a cherry on top. And thanks to whoever organised the lovely card we just came home to, as well as all those who signed it. The football really was mainly Ben's work though so I mustn't take credit.

Also to Neil, for groping my bum and not minding my not minding.
To Jo for being an amazing dance partner and making all the boys stare!
To Rich B for trying to be an amazing dance partner and not minding when I said you were nothing compared to Jo (I'll let you have another try one day), oh and for the gloves too (you saved my digits if not my life).
Tigs, for being ace MacAce as per, being my much-better-than-a-boy escort home from MY FIRST EVER JOIN ME CLUBBING(!) and my (Wo)Man of the Match.
Thomas, for being a good chauffeur and an almost-as-good-as-Tigs-but-not-quite escort home.
Katie for looking absolutely GOWGEOUS! Foxy lady or what?! Get one of those photos as a new avocado Missy!
Vic for making me laugh with chick/head band decoration and the usual hilarity.
Mark for the wonderful Duck (someone finally made it, and it wasn't Thomas!!!! Yay!!!)
Zena for the head banging photo.
Mum White for buying lots of programmes as cards and then as the inevitable raffle winner sending the prize to you-know-who.
Anyone who bought tat and didn't take advantage of me in the drunken state I was in.
Anyone who bought tat and did take advantage of me but paid a reasonable price for doing so. It's for charidee innit.

Frankly, yes. We can't go making excuses for her because she's small. She's cute, but I'd still prefer a puppy whatever you were all saying about my being broody! ;)

This morning when I got Cody up I told her that Emily is cross with her because she has made her poorly and she cried.
