Ma and the boy probably won't be going to see Kate Goes on Friday night, so I was just wondering whether we'll be the only two, in which case we'll keep ourselves amused, or whether anyone else was around?

I'm sorry Laura but unless you have a note from your mum to excuse you, attendance is compulsory. :P

I doubt I'll be going to see Kate Goes either, so having someone to hang around with in a strange and nasty city would be nice.

To be honest, i'll want to hang round and catch up with people before the saturday madness so i'd rather do something where i can talk to people a bit easier.

I think i shall not be in attendance for Kate Goes.

You all are STUPID and furthermore YOU SMELL. This is KATE GOES people. Possibly the greatest stadium rockers you will ever see, I once asked one of them if I could see there testicles.

True story.

Possibly.

I agree whole heartedly.

Kate Goes are an audio-visual treat! And they are lovely! In fact only today I saw Beth from the band on our local high st. I often see her around actually. I'm not a stalker, she just lives near me.

Oh and Toby I do hope it wasn't one of the girls.

Will it still be possible to get into the Rainbow after about 8.30, the time I arrive? If so will go as they sound quite good. If not, definitely up for alternate plans.

I can't really do the whole spending money to see people play music, however wonderful they are. I have already done far too much of that this semester, and the semester hasn't even started! So where are we meeting up for drinks if we're not going to see Kate Goes?

well if you're not going to Kate Goes, check out the Wellington: http://www.thewellingtonrealale.co.uk/ . because it is the most awsome pub ever.

Much as I'd love to see as many folk as possible at kate Goes, I have to agree with Jen above. I was planning on a little visit there on the Saturday anyway. Quite a few folk went there last year.

They have the best ale selection in town. It really is tremendous.

I was talking to Beth & Kate after a gig. Toby skipped over, unintroduced & bellowed "COULD I SEE YOUR DRUMMERS TESTICLES?" He meant that he thought he could during the gig (not that that's really any better) but they took it to be a request & we're, by this combined barrage of awkwardness, set askew.

But it turns out that Beth's nan & mine live just down the road from each other. Which while a boring & trivial piece of information to share with you all, was rather interesting at the time.

Nice little coincidence there! I see Beth around and about quite a bit. Why only last week I saw her twice in half an hour (yeah I know she's such an annoying stalker), and felt compelled to inform Mr. Kennington. Beth also happens to work at my favourite restaurant not far from chez moi.

It's national Hug-a-Jew day on the Friday, by the way. So there you go, that's what you can all do with your Friday night - hug me.

It's because you have a thing for the drummer and his testicles isn't it Rich?

I've just found out that Vix n the Kix are playing the same gig. For those of you old enough to remember, Vix used to be the singer in Fuzzbox.

They are pretty laydeez.

Edit to add: it's only 4 quid to get in.

If it's only 4 quid I can probably just about afford it. There! You can count me in! Can somebody pick me up a ticket if that's at all possible please? Only I don't want to be turned away at the door...

May I ask, is there a definitely non-gig plan?

Although not going would exceedingly risk the wrath of the lovelies*, I've not decided what I'll be doing yet.

* This is apparently the new nickname for Rach and Toby collectively.

What? Since when was I a collective with Toby?! I'm scared!

As for tickets - not needed. Just pay on the door.

I saw Beth at lunchtime. She was waitressing at my fave restaurant. I warned her I was bringing a gang of reprobates on Friday. I may have also mentioned this incident to her. Well you would, wouldn't you?
