Ok, what do you think a sensible time to get to and leave Birmingham (from and to London) on the friday and sunday respecitvley?

I was thinking getting there 4ish, and leaving about half 3ish.

Good or bad plan?

I'm going to go straight after work on Friday, which means leaving Slahhh at about 4.12pm.

I actually just made that time up completely, but I was going to say 'about 4.10' and I thought that if I was being that specific to start with, I might as well just be completely specific with a time, for a slightly more comical effect. I think that my commentary following it has slightly dampened that effect, so I'll stop it.

Oh, that means I'll probably be getting into Brum about 6ish. I'll go via monsieur le Reading, and not London.

I'm going to forever call it monsieur le Reading now. ^_^

Right, my trains are booked.

Leaving London at 14.10, getting into Brum at 15.40 on the Friday
Leaving Brum at 15.00, getting back to London at 16:41 on the Sunday

Hazaah!

Well you're all welcome to come up to mine as soon as you like. We can have tea and cake and stuff! I can come and meet you off the bus. It's dead easy - get the 50 from Moor St Queensway opposite Moor St station. (about a 5 min walk from New St station). I'll see if I can knock up some pasta or chilli or pizza or comething before we go to see Kate goes, or we could just get a takeaway.

I'm not getting into New Street until about 8.15, will people be somewhere else (i.e. a pub) at this time rather than at Chez Parkin? Will happily meet anywhere, but need directions.

Just pm me. Thanks.

Michael - we'll probably be at the Rainbow by then.
If you google it you should find a site with a map. It's about a 20 minute walk from teh station so it's a bit of a hike.

Thanks.

Saturday morning crowd from london currently seems to only consist of me. I'll book some tickets and see you at lunch time then.

The number 6 bus goes past the rainbow (or at least it used to!) and can be caught from behind New St station.

Anyone catching the 50 shouldn't go upstairs unless they *want* to get stoned. Particularly on a Friday afternoon...

Still not sure what day I'm arriving or what I'm doing or where my head's a t now, let alopne Friday night! Will we need tickets for the rainbow, do you think, or can I implusivley arrive on the night? It's always been a strange one- either packed out or empty!

Wilf and Steve - as you're getting in at roughly the same time, and as I'm not working, I'll pick you up from New St. That is assuming my eyes aren't screwy.

If anyone else is planning on getting in around 3-4ish, let me know.

I'll probably be arriving then as well. I have to get the 12.57 from Hull, which gets in at 15.36. Can I have a lift too please?

ooooh that could work.

Only one slight problem - the THINGS of which you speak - I was hoping to put the THINGS that were surplus to requirements out on friday morning for the magic lorry that takes such THINGS away. so we'll have to liase before hand so you can let me know what sort of size THINGS you still need. and the rest I can put out.
