Everyone, i was originally planning on staying with rich, but current events are lending themselves to me staying in the weatherspoons inn above the briar rose.

However, i'm somewhat reluctant to miss out on muchly fun if said muchly fun is going to be happening.

Therefore
Ergo

Where are you staying?

I'm staying (well, living) in a little suburban townhouse* in one of Birmingham's nicest, most Bohemian neighbourhoods. It's about a half hour joueney from town (10 minutes to bus stop, 5 minutes max wait, 15 minutes bus to town(

*Estate agent speak for a 60's terrace.

It may lack the central location and balcony of Hotel (or should that be hostel :P) Bennet but it's got a nice little green outside and it's nice and quiet. And I have proper beds/sora beds/ futons for about 7 people. The rest is floorspace.

well apart from Hotel Rach and Hostel Rich, there are a number of hotels to choose from:

Don't go for the Briar rose (the Wetherspoons one in town.) jen and Gatesey stayed there and gave a not very good report.

At the budget end, you can't go wrong with the Etap. Good value, reasonably central (about 10 minutes walk from SNOBS and 40 quid a night - it's room only though), clean, basic, and comfortable.

You've also got the Travelodge on Broad st which is OK. If you want posh, there's the Hyatt. it's very smart and has a spa.

If you've got silly money, I've hear hotel du vin is rather tasty. But if you can afford to stay there, we'll also give you the bar tab for the night.

I think the Ibis is pretyy good too and a fairly good location.

But I reckon me and Rich between us should be able to take care of pretty much everyone!

I'm supposed to be stopping at Rich's but is there a problem? Why aren't you staying there Jamie? Is he going to be elsewhere in the country now?

Yes Claire you can stay.

I have to give a heads-up to all the cool kids staying at Chez Parkin: I have two cats. They are very affectionate and cuddly and you may end up sleeping with one or both of them! However, lovely as they are, they are rather allergenic (I have to take piriteze daily!) So if you have a problem with cats, either bring your antihistamines or try elsewhere.

Jen Cooley is also staying. so is Stephy. Hurrah! Our house will be wall-to-wall loveliness.

You jammy sod.

That hotel is probably as close to SNOBS nightclub as it's possible to get. Wll, without dossing on the pavement outside.

Paradise Circus: probably the most ironically-named roundabout in the UK. It's like the world's concrete reserves were gathered together and dumped in one place.

And woop! for the Jamins are coming!

Currently offered or confirmed stayin at mine are a numnber of people above looking for hotels and travllodges and such.

I can understand why Helen is confused. I know i am - as none of you have that were staying here have mentioned this to me in the last 5 days whilst i've seen you.

Rest assured Helen, Rory etal, i will be at mine for fab feb, there is a poo load of parking, and there's about 12 of us here all in bed or bed substitutes, although from the look of the above, it may be significantly less....

so what's we all doin then?

Unfortunately I won't be able to stay over now. Not now that I have little Cody. I may still turn up during the day though (mainly for the duck race) It just depends. I should know her better by then and know if it is an appropriate thing to do with her.
