OK folks here's the plan: (maps, links, pics etc to follow)

Friday night - the fabulous KATE GOES are playing THE RAINBOW on Digbeth High St.

Kate Goes' myspace page
The Rainbow Info and map

Saturday

12.00 meet at THE BULL statue outside the Bullring Shopping Centre, by the Rotunda (that's the big cylindrical building). Hug people and chat and stuff.

The Bull
Map of Bullring (PDF) For the location of the Bull, look for the Rotunda.

1.00 lunch at THE BIG WOK, Wrottesley St, Chinatown, to savour the legendary all you can eat lunchtime buffet for a fiver. Warning: Do not eat breakfast!

The Big Wok website

3.00: DUCK RACE at THE FLOOZIE IN THE JACUZZI fountain, VICTORIA SQUARE. Bring a rubber duck and a fishing net!

LAst year's duck race:

some time after this (yet to be confirmed) a group of us will go over to the Childrens Hospital with a load of toys, games etc to donate. We did this last year and it was great. Very well received and (In my humble opinion) better than handing a lollipop to some random chav on the street.

In the meantime you can do some freestyle RAOKing of your own, have a drink, tea and cake, whatever, until 6pm when the penultimate part of the day's shenanigans begins:

6.00 - 11.00: THE OLD JOINT STOCK, Temple Row. We've got the function room booked upstairs and we'll have a waiter to bring drinks from the bar. I have put in a special advance request for the lovely Edwin. Here there will be all sorts of jolly japes, including board games, and a quiz the like of which you've never seen before. There will also be a promises raffle and auction. (See separate thread.)

The Old Joint Stock website

11.00 - the wee small hours: SNOBS nightclub, Paradise Circus.
Want your feet to stick to the floor? You got it.
Want some of the worst club toilets in Birmingham? You got it.
BUT the music and the atmosphere more than makes up for these trifling inconveniences. A great mix of Indie, Britpop and a bit of rock in the big room, with retro stuff in the smaller room. It's great.

SNOBS website
Sunday - TBC! Most likely a Wetherspoons for breakfast and/or lunch.

Can I point out that we have to get permission from the people at the Bullring if we want to congregate on their property. If we don't we risk being moved on by security again.

I am so excited about FabFeb! Due to the fact that I work Saturday morning, I can't be there until the duck race (woo! A duck race!), but am looking forward to some hot Brummie action (that's what she said, &c.)! If there are any spare floors going, I can even drink (at a join meet! The scandal!) and probably bring even more random Scots-English hugginess to the party than usual!

Rach,

did you and I not agree 6:30 for the reasons pre-described and agreed at a date earlier than this?
As yet - we don't have confirmation that the necessary is possible to feasibly allow a 6:00pm start!

ALSO

don't mess with the TimeLine!
I have photo evidence :-)

I'll call ya on the 28th and we'll go through it! ^_^

It woulldn't hurt to bring a spare top, but believe me, Snobs has the most relaxed dress code ever. really. I once saw a guy get turned away because hos trousers were TOO SMART!!!

Snobs has a STRICT dress code- no burberry, not football tops, no caps*.

Basically, no chavs.

I hate this. I remember Rich & I being turned away from Rock City for that exact reason. It infuriated me.

I'm going to turn up well dressed anyway. Maybe I'll get a T-Shirt done to wear underneath that says "**** you then you stupid f****** **** of a doorman." Just in case they make dress down.

I aim for me and cody to be there at 12 and join you for lunch and duck race. We'll probably leave about 4 to get her to bed at a reasonable time.
If you hear of something bad happening in Halifax... I did it!

Even you're I'm ironically metal line didn't work. What I found most funny was them letting Warren in, with a Hackett top on.
