CONGRATULATIONS!

I'm so very proud of you all! You all worked so hard in the run up to this, allbeit in many different ways. I really hope you're as proud of yourselves as I am of you and that you're pleased with what you've achieved!

I hope your bumps and bruises are not too sore and that the vast quantities of alcohol you are no doubt now consuming help dull the pain!

Well done too to Nat and Shiny for being terrific drivers and support crew- I know they couldn't have done it without you.

Fantastically well done to everyone!
A brilliant effort by everybody concerned including Nat & Shiny, and Holly for her efforts before she had to pull out.
Hope you're enjoying some well-deserved alkyhole and some even more well-deserved rest!

Well Done Guys!!! So unbelievably impressed and proud xx

Thanks guys and gals for all your support over the last few months with your sponsorships and help raising the funds.

Well i'm back hame safe and sound-feeling ok, ankles are swollen as are knees slightly-but hey they were always gonna take a battering.

I dunno about the others but for me personally the best thing that happened this weekend was bumping into someone i went to school with(from Primary 1 to 6th year) who was driving one of the corporate teams!I aint seen him in 10 years at least-and the shout of 'Shuggy!' had him looking around in bewilderment!I may have changed slightly.
-That and the scree running which was muchos adventuring! :D

So to that end obviously as 2 dunoon lads catching up we were the last people out the bar-at half 2!

Well done to all the lads-twas fun.Let's do it again! In a couple of years.

Oh and we were the highest placed non-corporate team at the end-go us!

The event raised a total of £108000 in total for the NDCS-well done to all the other teams also!

Right i'm off to get ready for work! :(

Thanks all. An amazing amount of money for deaf kids. Not only were we the highest placed non-corporate team, but the only non-corporate team to finish & (from what everyone was saying) the team with the least experience & training under their belts.

I won't be doing it next year due to other plans, but I'd be well up for a really hardcore team in two years looking to beat our time. We didn't quite make 24 hours, but came in at 25:24. Which was about middle of the board, of those who finished.

After doing the maths, I can say I consumed roughly 50000 calories over the weekend. 10 times the normal recommended intake & I was hiking in my sleep last night.

Nice party afterwards, bravo the rest of the team for great company along the way & huge thanks to Nat & Shiny for sacrificing their weekend to help us out & look after us. Woop!

Thanks everyone!! :D :D

First of all, thanks to everyone who wrote a note in the "good luck" booklet arranged beautifully by the ever lovely Mrs J. It made me grin from ear to ear on Saturday morning and really spurred me on. Thanks also to all who posted good luck messages on the forum or who texted us on the days of the walk...it's amazing how much it all helps.

Finally thanks to Nat and Shiny for doing an excellent job with the driving duties over the weekend, despite being badly informed by the NDCS team regarding our estimated completion time on the final day.

It may seem pretty sad but crossing the finish line on the final day was probably the proudest moment of my life....the kind of feeling that makes all the pain worthwhile. I know we didn't complete the challenge, having not completed the first day fully and having completed it in over 24 hours....but it doesn't feel like we've failed at all.

Excellent effort team!!....I couldn't have chosen a nicer bunch of people to go through the pain with :D :D

ps I'm holding you all to the beer and cake promises. It's gonna be one hell of a party!! ;)

Well done guys! You did very well!

Very impressed that you guys were still all positive when we dropped you off at 5am on Saturday morning, with having very little sleep and you went out there in the cold, wet, windy and foggy conditions! You were all still joking around and ready to start.

Also very glad that no sheep was hurt with the thought of being toilet paper to Biddle's arse. Lucky no spicy food was eaten.

WELL DONE GUYS, and they are all back at work today, metal! Im catching up on ironing and stuff, no where near as hardcore as these guys!

btw, good luck with washing your clothes, I think burning some of your walking boots may be the best for them and for the people around you :)

Well done peeps.

My mates at work took part too, and from seeing them at work today I can imagine you guys had a tough time too!

My mates (Will, Garrick, Andy, Andy and James) were under the name of Team Barclays (we work for RBS, but it's a long story!) I told them to keep an eye out for you guys and say hello if they spotted you. The guys at work had trouble on the first day too, apparently the weather was truly terrible! I heard that the other team from RBS didn't finish til past midnight on the Saturday because someone broke their ankle!

Hope you're all feeling better now, and your lower limbs are recovering nicely. Good work!
