In an effort to keep my mind off worrying about the boys and to help me feel less lazy sitting here making finger puppets while they're off walking for the children, I thought I'd do the cake auction I promised. Obviously, all proceeds go to the 24 Peaks fund and you may pay directly into the Just Giving site quoting 'July Cake Auction'.

So, usual rules apply....

1. Enter your name, bid and choice of cake in reply to this topic
2. Please bid in increments of at least £1
3. Bidding ends midnight on Tuesday 17th July
4. Cake will be made bespoke to suit all dietary requirements
5. Cake will be delivered to the winner at Brighton Pirate Meet on Saturday 21st July, unless pre-arranged with me

May the bidding commence.............

:D Hurrah for Emily! I will start the bidding at £10 and to be Emily's own favourite cake. Mum White.

:pirate: C'mon! Mrs J's cakes are worth more, so are the "Peakers" How about £20 says it's a Jamaican Ginger cake to be consumed by a handily available crew of motley pirates! ( said pirates might all have to make a small donation tto the cause to qualify for a slice ;) )Mum White.

Sounds like a plan- I had meant to say syndicates are more than welcome. And may I add, Granny 'Jamin's Ginger Bread recipe is seriously good so you've made a very good suggestion!

:D Do I win, then? If so I will put the £20 on the Just Giving site straight away and prepare to wrest extra cake based funding from the scurvey bunch of knaves that will be skulking around Brighton beach on Saturday! :pirate: I will have to leave that for you to pay in, Emily, as I will be going straight to France afterwards! Mum White. x

The cake was awesome! Mrs J had forgotten I'd tried some before at The Cock some time ago, and that was why I suggested it!

How much did we raise Jane?

I don't know :( I do hope Mrs J had the cup of money. Does anyone know? (I did pay the £20 for the cake, selling it on was all extra.) Mum White.

I have the cup!

Wilf plans to collect it when he's back from cottage. There's £5.92 in there which isn't bad considering the drunken state everyone was in by the time Jane start collecting! Well done!

Oh, and thanks for the post card Jane!
