GOOD LUCK TEAM! The time is now...

It's tomorrow that the team will be heading up to the lakes for the slog.
Just wanted to wish you ALL a massive amount of luck. I wish I was able to come with you.
I want to see pictures and hear all about it.
You can ALL do this. I have faith in you. Please don't die though!
Also I think that Nat and Shiny deserve a massive big up as they'll be acting as ground crew/support ver the weekend. The team wouldn't be able to do this without them.
Best of luck, sweeties.

You've worked so hard to get this far, what with training and collecting money.
We're all behind you!

We're all proud of what you've done so far, and let's face it--fundraising was the most difficult part.
Big thanks Nat and Shiny.

No, of course not literally. The team would be far too big for a start...
But metaphorically we are, aren't we?

Can't wait to see the photos and hear the stories.

Ok, so it seems that they're all in pretty good spirits, but the weather's just been too much, and they're down to hardly any visibility.
They're all well, and each in one piece, but Wilf had a fall and has bruised his leg (and knackered his walking poles) - he's ok though, no cut skin or anything, which is something to be thankful for, and Scott's hurt his knee. It's sounds pretty nasty. Anyway, they've called it a day for today and are all planning on going back out tomorrow.
Nigel has gone on with another group.
So GO NIGEL!
AND WELL DONE the rest of the team for getting so far in such crappy conditions and GO team for tomorrow! I think this might not be a bad thing - they'll get more rest, more hance to recouperate before heading out tomorrow, which is a slightly easier day of walking, and apparently the weather's going to improve.
Good vibes for Team Join Me please!

Everyone was fine after a bit of rest, bar a little swelling & blistering. Indeed, we all had to pull out at various points on the first day due to zero visibilty (2m in every direction at most), gale force winds on the peaks & thus our getting completely lost, shimming down slate ledges, running down scree slopes & skiing down grass slopes on our arses (accidently on purpose) for almost 4 hours. As a result of our exciting & unplanned detour we missed a few peaks out. Martin & I lost the use of our legs after a way, Scott popped his knee out, Dan bruised his legs & was on the brink of exhaustion & so ENORMOUS kudos to Nigel for plugging through to the end & securing our team amongst the ranks of those who completed the challenge.
Day 2 went much better, we could see for starters, didn't get lost & knew we were going to have to eat & drink a hell of a lot more to keep ourselves going & so we actually pulled of quite a respectable time & overtook a few other teams. Despite refusing to take the (unofficially allowed) shortcuts that a lot fo the oter teams took.
So that was some redemption for the problems the day before.

This was the most fun of the whole weekend(the others may not agree though:rolleyes: )!The guide that we met at the bottom said that we were probably the first people to come off that mountain in that way-EVER!Hardcore-you know the score! And may i say safely led off with no injuries at that point-considering it was about a 400-500 metre drop in height in about quarter of a kilometre and mostly down scree and near vertical drops at some points.Oh and we'd picked up another team whilst on our way down there-so it wasn't just us!
