So, after a very hard day's collecting, we weere left with a bucket of change weighting in at an impressive 18 kg!

After sorting and counting, we are left with the truly staggering figure of:

£873

THAT'S NUMBERWANG!!!!!!!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Kudos and thanx to all involved and particular thanx for the stirling efforts of our non-team volunteers!

Hurrah! Well done folks! I wish I could have been there but I was stuck in Warren's car listening to the Southampton match in a huge queue to get into the Blackwall tunnel.

I'll be in Bromley on Friday for my eye test so I'll say thank you to the people of Bromley then!

I like the Bromleyans... they're clearly very generous!

WOOOOOOOOOO! :D

This is the least that the peakers deserve for all of their hard work. Go peakers! It was one afternoon in a shopping centre (the habitual home of the Katie) for me, it's taken months of preperation and hard work for you.

That IS amazing!

Sarah and I are CLEARLY the best collectors though - oh yes! ;)

Seriously though - that's brilliant! What makes me particularly happy about this is that every penny we raised on saturday is going directly to the Bromley Branch of the NDCS - some of the ladies from that were manning the display stand in the centre on saturday.

Wilf and I went along to their AGM a few weeks ago, and saw for ourselves where the money goes. Every month they hold a fun day for the kids- face painting, games, bouncy castle etc and much much cake. Each on of those costs them £200.

What we've raised will pay for FOUR of those days, or will go towards the other great stuff they are doing.

Thanks again everyone - you ROCK!

H.

xx.

I was the best collector....this is because Sarah took my place and i didn't have to make any effort whatsoever ;)

*This may not be technically true, but at least i provided the display*

Everyone else collected coins and you collected a person. People are priceless. Ergo what you collected has the most value.
