I can't decide. I could book a hotel now and be mega sensible - and comfortable - or I could ask to stay with Mark, Westy, and Zena again. Where I had the funniest night I've had in years, but had to sleep with Warren.

*dilemma*

It is, unfortunatley, highly likley that myself, westy and zena will no longer living togeather by then as they are going to by a house and leave me out in the cold on my own.

I shall be booking into the Premier Travel Inn. Because its location is the best.

But not yet, because I don't know exactly what I'll be doing this time next year. So I don't know which days I'll be up for.

Hmm the travelodge (that's the one the majority go for, yes?) is at £55 per night! How does that work? Thought these places were meant to be cheap in advance? Any suggestions?

They do cheep nights every so often, it's a waiting and keep checking game. Plus a family room is the same price as other rooms which means 3 people can share the cost.

The rooms in the Brittania are lovely as well, and unlike the Travelodge, they give you ginger nuts.

If you go somewhere else, you'll just have to take Phil Cooke (bum bum!)

yes, everyone who is relying on westybingmark space, go book a hotel room now! The Westy and I will in all likelihood be living in a flat about 20 minutes out of the city centre by then.
it will be small.

Right, the Britannia is ALREADY fully booked for the Saturday.

I'm gonna book one at the Travelodge (or Crown Plaza or equivalent) nowish.

Anybody want to sign up to share with me and cut the cost?

I reckon the Brit is not actually full, they just haven't released the rooms for those dates yet.

I wouldn't want to rely on the possibility. They have a chart/diagram, and it shows availability of a varying mix of room types for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, but specifically not any for the Saturday.

Perhaps they have a conference on.

EDIT - the chart thing seems to be a bit nuts. It still shows no availability but it's now showing a random choice of date in it's little "title" bar above the data. Still, I'm thinking it'd not hurt to book now. Roomies?

Tempted to say "aye", but also wondering about holding out for cheaper rooms at the Travelodge. What do folk reckon? Too much of a risk?

For some reason, I don't remember you snoring at all last weekend.

However, I definitely have heard you snore in the past, so don't anybody be mislead by the above statement...

He snores. Fact. To the extent that it woke me up and I had to prod him to get him to stop, then get to sleep in the short window before he started again. In fairness, it was likely bunged-up-nose related, but still...

Oh, and I'd be up for room sharing if you're still looking for "sharies" K

Woop! I do believe I will be room sharing! Who would like to share a room?! I am only small and don't take up too much room. I don't think I snore. Although I did hug Heather randomly in the night! Whether this is an advantage or sharing with me I am not sure...

But yay, roomie! Shall we find ourselves a chaperone (since family rooms are the same price as doubles at the mo)?

It is, unfortunatley, highly likley that myself, westy and zena will no longer living togeather by then as they are going to by a house and leave me out in the cold on my own.

I thought that zena and westy were providing you with a girlfriend to live in the shack in the woods with you.

Heehee, people will talk.

Some more.

But yay, roomie! Shall we find ourselves a chaperone (since family rooms are the same price as doubles at the mo)?

But isn't talking what most joinees do best? ;)

But yeah! Chaperone! Come one, come all, come CHAPERONE US!

[K - do you really think anyone would even *consider* trying to chaperone us?! I'm me and you're you - I wouldn't attempt it with a barge pole...]

Woop! I do believe I will be room sharing! Who would like to share a room?! I am only small and don't take up too much room. I don't think I snore. Although I did hug Heather randomly in the night! Whether this is an advantage or sharing with me I am not sure...

How big a room are we talking? I was going to book as soon as travel lodge prices come down but I would love to share a room with Shelley and Meek and hopefully Amanda if shes in?
If you hear of something bad happening in Halifax... I did it!
