oops! And a big thanking-ye-kindly-sir to Rich (of the Morpheus variety) for giving me a lift home and sparing me yet more train-induced mania.Ra!

Thank you to Bing and Mark and the rest of Team Nottslanding for organising an awesome meet. It was so much fun, and ran smoothly without being over-organised. You guys rock.
Thanks to Bing, Mark and Westy for putting me up and for accommodating my irrational hatred of snorers.
Thanks to Jamie R, Phil H, Heather and Mhairi for not murdering me after shouting and throwing things at you on the first night.
Thanks to Team North, particularly Captain Cooke, for making me feel proud to be part of something. And thanks to Team South for providing tough but gentlemanly opposition, all in the true spirit of sportsmanship and Join Me.
Thanks to Heather for all the amazing amounts of driving from Weegieland.
Thanks to everyone who bought me drinks, especially when I threatened their manliness by asking for shandy.
Thanks to everyone I had really nice chats with.

There wasn't a single thing that anybody did that wasn't wonderful. Except Elliot throwing up on Jo, of course. But... well, it wouldn't be a GGF without a bit of that.
Next year there won't be ANY of that.
Many thanks to everybody in Mark's room who cleaned me up and sorted out bedding and sent me away to sleep like a normal instead of a mental!
Thanks to Mark and Vic for being Ace
Bing and westy for stuffing more people than should be feasible in their lounge
mhairi and Scott for gentle mocking and moral support
Richard for being the daddy
Mr Collins for being all round marvellousness and patience incarnate!
Tigger for massaging me
Everyone on the quiz machine for crap answers!
Shelley for co-chanting and jumping!
All of the dancers for mentalist dancing (special mentions to Heather, Phil and Phil!)
All of you. It was ace. GGF rocks!
Lions and tigers and Jo, oh my!

Many large and bountiful thanks to everyone. Everyone was a pleasure to socialise and cavort with as usual.
Special thanks to Neil for looking after me, Mark, Bing & Westy for hospitality and sportsmanship, team south for performing as well as was needed, all sandwich, bun & cake makers for all the sandwiches, buns & cakes I ate.
Apologies to the above for being required for such roles, to Jo for being a bit sick on her & to anyone who was unsettled, dropped, kissed, led astray &/or forcebly inebriated at any part against their will.
Cracking weekend all round though. Again, thanks everyone.

I did this in another thread (see here http://www.joineefor...howtopic=21304) but REALLY want to spread the love so - sod it - here it is again.
Thankyous to everyone, especially;
:-)
Thankyous to everyone, especially;
- Those that recognized me from forum and made me welcome
- Those that didn’t and still made me welcome
- Those that won £2 through intelligence
- The others that punched me when they didn’t (as a “reflex” action – apparently)
- Those that helped me find my way when I was looking lost and slightly out of my depth
- Those that helped me carry bags from hotel to hotel
- Those that helped me “beat” the competitors to reception (without resorting to violence)
- Those that led me to summertime bars and taunted me with a plank that smelt of petrol
- Those that let me commentate on a duck race that had finished 5 metres and 10 minutes earlier (yeah – THANKS for that )
- Those that gave me the scoop interview with the winner
- Those that drank of “the sheep”
- Those that let me toke upon the “pipe of peace” at length, hogging it from everyone else but simply NOT caring
- Those that gave me a new pokey pokey
- Those who had the in depth and esoteric conversations resulting in real “this is the world” revelations
- Those that gave me references and remembered to send me details on texts
- Those that kept up with the unreasonable pace at which I was drinking, making me feel like less of a lush
- Anyone that bought me a drink
- Anyone who smiled when I aimed my camera at them (frequently)
- Anyone that drank “my drink” to “taste it” when I insisted over vigorously (given the number of times I proffered you became legends)
- Whoever pulled my name out of the hat and enabled me to start my ongoing relationship with PLANKY! (As is now named and whom I love dearly, despite it looking like “I’d won the FA cup”)
- Those that said I looked like I’d won the FA Cup when winning a raffle prize
- Those that let me DJ
- Those that kept me on the straight and stable when stumbling
- Those that ignored my whining when walking 500 miles
- Anyone who took that flipping megaphone off me whenever I had it (ultimately a ROAK for all the general public)
- Those that rescued PLANKY when he was in need
- Those that listened to my incessant whining in reference to the heat of my room
- Those that listened yet further to my incessant whining in reference to the heat of my room
- Those that did not attack me or shudder when I had pints with breakfast
- Those that traipsed round Nottingham looking for a Marks and Spencer and watched in awe as I found the most wonderful whiskey shop and wouldn’t leave
- Those that helped me carry bags of booze past big tops
- Anyone that put up with my over excited rantings from the side line
- Those that grew excited at the prospect of being “tall and proud of it”
- Anyone that enjoyed the summer champagne and smiled as they did so
- Anyone who laughed when a small child doused me in the fountain
- Anyone who introduced me to fosters and lime after a number years of forgetting it just works when you’re hot
- Anyone who offered me a cigarette
- Anyone that stopped me smoking it
- Those that didn’t beat me viciously for breaking one of their shoes
- Those that got as excited as I at a “pixy and mix” with the words “all you can eat” next to it
- Those that made me watch my P’s and Q’s
- Those who I ignored in reference to the P’s and Q’s
- ALL who didn’t laugh hideously when I was dubbed too smart for a club (grrrrrr?)
- Those who made the 20 minute round trip with me to get back
- Those who I damaged whilst moshing
- Those I embarrassed by dancing with them
- Those I dripped on whilst soaking
- Those who “appeared” with drink
- The others who drank them when I wanted to dance (if you call it that!)
- Those who made the walk home easy and almost sober
- Those who sat up with me, talking about everything and anything, patiently waiting the age it took to get the photos onto the laptop
- Those that listened to the entire commentary for both the duck race and the powered duck race
- Those that gave me a pillow when there were none to be found
- Those that didn’t take the piss when I felt tired and subsequently rough in the morning
- Those that didn’t worry when I needed quiet time the next day
- Those that made the journey home far more interesting
- And last but certainly not least those that gave me an Ocarina and – I’m not afraid to say it – made me somewhat emotional!

:-)
