Yes, we have confirmation!!

Saturday 21st April is indeed mountain awareness day. This has been confirmed by Ruth and i will need payment for this day asap, as i'm very hard up at the mo. The price per person is £30. Don't forget that a few of you still owe me money for the youth hostel stay too.

Ithankyou

Martin :D

Excuse my ignorance. When did Mountain Awareness Day become something?

I think most people know that mountains exist.

I'd go as far as to say that they're fairly self-evident. Who hasn't seen a mountain? Does anyone doubt their existence??

I'm confused by this whole concept.

Yeah, i don't think it has much to do with proving the existance of mountains, more about ensuring that people walking in the mountains continue existing.

Alright all,

Long time no see & all that. It's very sad I know but sadly I've been at work. Pretty much all the damn time. Great. I look pale and unwell so a weekend in the peaks may be just the ticket! I know I've paid some stuff but don't know what, also have no idea what the plan is for the weekend away so I'd really appreciate some details. Do I need to book time off?

Hope alls good.
Nigel

Hello chap, hope the new job is going well! You'll need to book Friday 20th April off work. We'll be back on the sunday.

The van is booked, I'll be picking it up on the thursday night. I would suggest that we leave as early as poss on the friday morning.

As for payage, Nigel. You owe myself £60 in total (£30 for mountain awareness, £30 for the Youth Hostel - 2 nights)

You should have received an email with this info on....if not, could you let me know your current email address, so that we send stuff to the right place.

Could you bring it on Friday too, as otherwise i have no money at all for the weekend??

Cheers

Martin

Hmmn, well according to Metcheck (who I find more reliable and detailed than the BBC) it's going to be a bit better than that - on the Saturday at least:

Having said that, it's the lakes, so we're best to just assume we're going to get every type of weather and go prepared.
