I'll play. Still not entirely sure if I'm there for the whole of GGF but I am off Saturday, so I'll definitely be there for the footy.

This time, I'd like to play the whole match for Team North, as being swapped to the south halfway through meant I couldn't really be arsed for the second half.

I like to play in defense or midfield, and favour the left side. Left back would be ideal. But I'm happy to play wherever.

I'd be happy to play on the left overlapping with Mr Rushton again.

Looking to add to my goal tally.

Matt Bee.

Centre Back, tenacious tackler, moderate pace, can make unbelievable tackles when required, good in the air, and the first name on the Hackney Wanderers Sunday League teamsheet week in, week out.

Wears a hairband in a Jonathon Woodgate tribute (although it has been said Woodgate copied me, both in terms of playing centre back and hairstyle).

Scored a cracking goal last year, and kept Shiny and Gatesy quiet, although that wasn't hard...

With me in the middle at the back, South have no chance.

I'm from Hull, and lived there for the first 19 years of my life. My parents and grandparents still live there. My accent changed when I moved down to London and no-one could understand me.

I still support Hull City, and live in constant dread that one night I'll get drunk and end up with three crowns tatooed on my arm.

I drink my tea strong, my beer with a head and my chips fried in dripping (when I can get them). I'd also take all commers in a Yorkshire Pudding off, but nottingham may not be the time for this...

As an eager debutant (it’ll be my first one eyed football match) I’m wondering how serious this all is - I mean is it shorts, shinpads and football boots or just a trainers and jeans type game? Obviously I’m hoping for a real match but it’ll mean packing more stuff in my rucksack.

God, you're like the Republic of Ireland under Jack Charlton - 'What, you've heard of the South? Oh, you haven't? Well, it's just below the Midlands, which are there as a kind of buffer zone to stop us feeling too inferior to the North. So, you've heard of it now then? Excellent! Would you like to play for us?'

By my calculations we only need 3 more people to have a team- score! Great news at this early stage. Is SiVar going in goal?

I'll quite happily play on the left and keep swapping midfield and defense with hatchard, worked rather well last year. I'll be in considerably better fitness this year too, so will be a force to be reckoned with!

I can't remember if Jamie has signed up, but GGF2's man of the match will be there in his PE kit.

I'm drawing up a tactical MASTERPLAN as we speak.

In particular we could do with someone who can run with the ball a bit from midfield and a second striker. Anyone match that description?

No, no, no. It's "You fight like a dairy farmer!", "How appropriate, you fight like a cow!". Fighting like a cow is the comeback not the insult, otherwise I'd have to improvise a retort like:

"Got milk?"

For God's sake Warren, pace? intelligent runs? Get a grip. You're a cricketer and cricket doesn't need either of these, which is why you play it.

And for your information I was going to foul you anyway.

So basically I'll be a combination of Woodgate and "Mad Dog" Pogatez.

That'll be me then. No pace, but an immaculate football brain, and incredible reading of the game.

And a complete willingness to hack people down then pretend to be injured so the ref doesn't give the opposition a free-kick/me a yellow card.

Got to catch me to foul me!!!

You don't grasp this game do you?? I didn't need to catch you to foul you, you'll be playing exactly where I want you to be. And how your little stumpy legs can possibly make you faster than me, I don't know.

We shall see. I feel the South will be downhearted after I break up every single attack in the first ten minutes (and play magnificent through balls to set up many a goal) and give up after that.

Just face it. I *am* everything everyone loved about Julian Dicks, Neil Ruddock and Stuart Pearce, just not fat and with pace.

There's bickering, and then complete fabrication, come on Warren, you know who's come out on top.

I bet you even lost the biscuit game when you played it.

Joinee Worm

Current star goalkeeper for Scottish Borders Council weekly Friday night football, but there seem to be a few other fat wheezy boys angling for a place between the sticks so I'm willing to offer my services as right back.

Not afraid of a good hard tackle, and if you need bulk - I'm your man. Modeled on a rhino - I may not be the fastest guy around, but I'm big and strong. (honest)

We seem well off for goalies! Maybe we could just field 11 goalies, in the hope of filling the entire goalmouth? :)
