Team North! Unite!

Anyhoo, let's have a Team North rollcall, with preferred positions and which foot/feet you can use, and, if you wish to show off, the level to which you believe you can play, so Phil 'The Gaffer' Cooke can start to plan
. Feel free to talk yoursleves up so that the spies from Team South (who will invariably be snooping to gain an unfair advantage, which is the only advantage they could have) get scared and forfeit before we start.
1 - Spaca 'The Cat' Monkey; I can play in goal or anywhere in defence (a monster at set pieces); right-footed; many years of football till a tragic knee injury cut a promising career short at the age of 16.

One of just three people to have represented Join Me in a BBC Four show presented by Victoria Coren.

4 - Dan "Dan" Pea, fairly accomplished right-footed midfielder. Often played in the centre, dropping back, but prefer to be on either wing. Not especially good at heading the ball anymore. I'm also quite good at giving away free kicks and picking up yellow cards.

- Previous Team North's second-choice goalkeeper.
- Last year's Man of the Match (admittedly for comedy reasons rather than footballing exploits).
- Occasional outfield player, often defence. Have good eye for game when at the back.
- Just over 6ft tall, right-footed, spectacularly unfit and ill-equipped.
- Have represented school at U14, U15 and U16 levels.
- When goalie at school, had pair of lucky gloves (I never let in more than 5 goals while wearing them).

Now while obviously all the time spent down the mines for us northern boys should have us phine phettle, I am offically recommending that all team north members begin a STRICT training regime six weeks prior to kick off. So starting on the 24th February, My recommendation:
Run! 2 miles or more, 3 times a week! Spaca you can do laps of sefton park with me! There's no excuse you lazy unemployed #!$&er!
OR
Eat pies to BEEF UP.
We'll beat the south with a combination of athleticism and BULK.
Incidentally do we have confirmation of the presence of goalposts somewhere in nottingham? Can we hire the city ground?
Last year wasn't good enough gentlemen, and I think we all know this. Beating them is not enough. We must HUMILIATE the south! So get running you fat #!$&s

The field on which we played does have goal posts, but they also play cricket on there and they had already been taken down. Hopefully with easter being a little earlier this will not be the case this year. The next nearest pitch option, about 2.5 miles out of the city centre and more of a pain to get too, also doubles up with cricket and if posts are down on one they'll be down on t'other.

Meekity Meek Meek, welcome on board!
Cheerleaders shall not be wearing outfits, as the last two years have proved they would cause nothing but pneumonia and possibly death. it is traditional for everyone to be absolutely bloody freezing at the N vs S football match. The Ayingerbrau Cup is not lightly won, my friends, it must be battled for in the worst weathers.
Currently we stand at one game all. The south took it the first year, due to them being cheating #!$&s. The Glorious North were rightly victorious in a well refereed match last year. This year we must show them what we are made of. We must show them how to drink AND WIN!
We can do it Team North! Our former glories are not enough! We must quash the smarmy southerners and show them how it's really done.
The cheerleaders salute our fearless players. They have with them the God Sivar, who runs like a leopard with the skills of a fox, from the goals to the other end of the pitch, before performing the Glorious Northern ritual of collapsing to his knees (and eventually his back) with thanks for such beautiful skills.
May the force be with you.

I was born in Northampton. This is the Midlands. This gives me right to choose whether I support North or South.
When I left Northampton I lived in NORTH Devon. Devon hates other southerners as much as northerners do and therefore is mentally north.
I live with a man from North Wales.
And my final piece of evidence?
I LIVE IN #!$&ING GATESHEAD.
