Seeing an upset friend smile a lot. That, is the power of cake.

And seeing someone at college I was friends with for years up until secondary school. No idea why we lost touch, but we both instantly knew who each other were and even instinctively said the phrase we always used to say when we were best friends. It was strange but quite brilliant.

The girl who I helped at work today. She thought she'd hung up the phone and said "Awww that guy was so nice! I wish they were all like that!"

Teehee, aww yay, that made me smile on your behalf too!

Today the thing that makes me smile is yesterday. I did circus (make unicycle friends and practised lots and did quite well and we're organising a social for next week, so fingers crossed that the boy i like turns up, woo) and then went to see comedy (and was greeted by a comedian that i made friends with at edinburgh LAST year, and haven't seen since, with "hey! THERE she is!!" and a big hug and then a check to see I was wearing my odd shoelaces still). Circus and comedy... my two favourite things. Yay! :D

Getting cheap megabus tix to Londinium for K4 also makes me smile. So, hurrah!

Walking through sunny London and seeing so many happy Londoners...maybe they're all secretly Joinees and were revelling in the joy of a Good Friday. Or maybe it was just me being a wacko and smiling too much at random passers-by. But either way, it made me smile :)

The Formula 1 results. For both this race and the championship. And the fact that over the past 7 races Jenson has won more points than anyone else (he got 35 to Alonso's 34 and Scum's 32). And the fact that Scum's now GONE. Woo!

My grandma and my mum phoning me up just to experience the happiness that they knew I'd be going through due to the above stated things.

Finding out that it looks strongly like Jenson will not be in Japan at the end of next month, and will therefore be where I will be instead. I'm holding out for a "yay for winning!!" hug, if not a marriage proposal. I literally can't stop smiling when I think that he might be there. I'd accepted that he wouldn't be able to make it. So, yay!

The fact that tomorrow (well, it's now Monday, so today!!!) I'll be seeing a mate that I haven't seen in 14 months, and I miss him so, because I do love him. (Not in *that* way, just as a friend). Can't wait! SO worth the trip to Oxford.

Oh, and, you peoples. The number of times you all make me just laugh out loud on this forum. I love you all too.

Submitting my thesis.

And some really funny podcasts.

And the girl at the ticket desk at the cinema. Seriously, she was very friendly. And smiley. And pretty.

And some good bits of The Last Kiss. Has anyone else noticed that Casey Affleck is ridiculously good looking? And so much better than his older brother. Um... I mean... Rachel Bilson. Yes, it was her I was checking out the whole time.

And the bus driver letting me on between stops, saving me about two hours that I'd have wasted looking for another way home.

And Spacamonkey noticing my 1000+ posts, which I managed to miss.

Realising that looking at the scales it didn't say 12.5 (which would mean I'd put on two pounds) but 12.05 which meant I'd lost 2 and a half!

Phew!

I just had Weetabix. I haven't had Weetabix in forever! They're ace.

Also, getting up this morning and having to totally rearrange my friends list on myspace. Only set up yesterday, but already loads of people I know have been added/added me. I feel all warm and loved.

This is one of the kittens currently living in a box, under a shelf, in the stores at work.
They're about four weeks old. There's four of them, two of them tortoiseshell like this one and two of them are black.
Sorry it's a rubbish pic but I had to take it on my phone in 'Night Mode'. And they won't sit still :D
But they make me very, very, very smiley!

Taking Luke to the fair (and stephen being there with his friends trying to pretend he didn't know us) My god is that child brave, I can't believe the rides he went on. At first I was really worried and my stomache was doing flips as the ride started. But he absolutely loves them and before long I was grinning and laughing watching him (and stephen sneekily) on them.

Luke won me a teddy and I won him one, he has just gone to bed with a smile on his face. I like it when this is a happy house.

I went into an arts and crafts little market place today. There was a little stand where they do arts and crafts with small children. Normally, you have to pay to do it, but there was a sign saying today it was free! So naturally, there were loads of kids doing it. So I went over to gawk at them (i like little kids!) (not in that way, silly!).

It surprised me what they were making.

They were all making and decorating their own tombstones.

No wonder it was free

Anyway. It made me smile lots :D

Yesterday: seeing a mate from Oz that I haven't seen for 14 months and having him be so thrilled that I was there, and it was his first gig (he's a comedian) in the UK ever, and it was BRILLIANTLY.... every single person in the audience (small room, but packed) absolutely LOVED it. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling just thinking about the love for him in that room. I couldn't stop smiling, thrilled for him!!

Today (and yesterday): a boy. A very nice, funny, lovely boy who is ridiculously easy to hang out with. And whilst it's been 3 years since I know that he liked me (oh why was I so hung up on someone else that I didn't care back then?), I think that maybe maybe he still does coz firstly he let me invite myself to Oxford to stay with him in a flash and secondly he very happily agreed to marry me when he becomes a millionaire. Which was nice, I thought. He teased me that I just wanted to marry him for his money. So when I was texting him from the train, I pointed out that it wouldn't *just* be for the money.........

Oh, woe, why does he live soooooooooo fecking far away?

But, still, I'm a smiley, smiley girl.

I also love how I've had the chance to just hang out with a group of guys whilst I was in Oxford... I never get to do that anymore... I miss it. I do so much better hanging in a group of boys than a group of girls. And I won so many battles of wits, it was brilliant. That made me smile too.

And one of them pretended to be a car with me in the middle of the road at a traffic lights at like 1am. :)

Fun times :) :) :)

Lou, quit hogging all the smiles! The rest of us need some too.

I managed the first half of what's meant to be a really easy yoyo trick, but which has cruelly eluded me for the last few months. Hopefully the rest of the trick won't take me too long to get.

Also a bunch of schoolgirls were waving at people on my train from the platform. They were apparently delighted when I waved back all smiley.

Teeheehee, today a little old lady at a bus stop made me smile, because I made eye-contact with her and she BEAMED at me, so I smiled back and then couldn't stop smiling for ages after as I kept walking. She was lovely haha :)

I've just melted...
I went into the stores and one of the kittens was mewing very loudly. So I went over to see if 'he' was OK, and he'd fallen out of the box :o
So I had to pick him up. He's so tiny! He fitted comfortably onto the palm of my hand! It was SOOOOOOOO CUTE :D
Like this one:

Awwwwww I love kittens!! I miss having kittens. (we've had a few litters in our time, and it was ace! except for the kittens dying during birth or the mum having problems and having to go to the vets and all that stress... that wasn't so great... but when you have the kittens all healthy.. eeeeee... love 'em!)

I saw a child in a pushchair..... dressed head to toe like a tiger. It may even have been a real tiger! Actually... no... it wasn't. But it was an ace furry tiger costume, and it was BRILLIANT. And so I beamed at the kid, and she just looked at me like "why are you smiling at me, crazy lady?".... but still, god it made me smile.

Today I got a completely out of the blue message from someone who is possibly my most favourite person in this whole entire world. He is just *incredibly* special. And I haven't seen him since Jan 2005 because he lives in New York. And he's a very very busy man so I don't hear from him that often.

But I checked my myspace messages today..... simply to find one from him.....

"I miss you loads. Just wanted you to know."

I love it when he does things like this. It has made me smile a LOT.
