Right, for those with no sleeping arrangements (including me as I never ever have any!!) theres a campsite called Sheepcote Valley (google it). Apparently its about 2miles from Brighton but its doesn't look like that on the map so i dont believe it. You can't book but just turn up on the day - I'm hoping there'll be spaces!!! meant to be about 80 available at the mo.

Alternatively I'm sleeping on the beach. Did it last year and was v comfortable and warm - with just a foam mat on the pebbles and a 2 season mummy sleeping bag and no tent. Others were cold but they were the ppl with nothing whatsoever, other than their diminishing levels of alcohol, to keep them warm. So if ppl wanna beach sleep then go for it! And if ppl are worried bout there not being enough ppl to sleep on the beach then i'll join you and ditch the campsite.

See you lovely ppl in a week!!!!

Tam x x x

Unfortunatley I can't get into brighton before 3:00pm so the campsite is out for myself.

Im sure if you ask miss tam ever so very nicely she can be convinced to book you in when she gets there.
Everything I say is purely opinion until proven to be fact.

If you were walking form Sheepcote Valley to the pier, I'd reckon on about half-an-hour. To the Marina, about five minutes.

Hope this helps!

Seeing as I'm the resident old fogey who doesn't get to go anywhere I'm going to sit at home and knit something with a skull and crossbones on it just to get in the spirit of the thing. I found some wristbands, a hat and a tote bag, but I'm not sure the dishcloth is necessary?

I have a hat.

The costume is coming along slowly, but I am ensuring that I do not settle for rubbish accessories.

The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is to high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.

Never look down on someone unless you're helping them up.

Just a little taste of my costume. I can't wear the boots or the trousers because I'll boil, but most of the rest is coming with me.

I hope you all have a fantastic time this weekend :D

Maybe I'll be 3rd time lucky and get there next year?

by the way, who was it last night who was trying to persuaid me that after traveling from Halifax to London on Thursday, London to Halifax on Friday I should then travel down to brighton at the weekend and be back in time to go to france on Tuesday? :?

I think a few drinks had been consumed at that stage.

have a lovely time, and enjoy the hill rolling :)
If you hear of something bad happening in Halifax... I did it!

Hello! Just got back. To Folkestone, after stopping over in London; I've not walked back home for two days straight or anything like that.

It was good by the way. Darned good. Awesome in fact. Which is nice. Shame on so many of you to drop out for no reason or just not think about arranging accommodation in advance, but you missed out on a fantastic weekend on the beach! No sunburn for me either... cheers Ben for the factor 50 suntan lotion :D
