Right - I'm 90% sure that kirsty has nicked my £45 trilby and has no intention of giving it back.

I know her first name, her telephone number, and her email address - does ne1 else know nefin about her? she was at chester, armitage, I think u were speakin to her quite a bit?

Right, that's the situation.

GJC is going to get his hat back.

But how?

Ideas?

She lives in a private flat, she didn't like the university halls so her parents bought her her own place. Rich bitch as well.

Kirsty was lovely.
Wait until you've spoken to her in person before you start getting all angry & hard done by.
Alas I don't have her number or any such.

I'm sure it'll all get resolved & then we can dance the dance of 64 smiles!

But fraud is just mugging people indirectly and often of more money than they would ever carry.

mugging is sometimes part of a violent and frightening event. I dont think fraud would be as psychologically damaging to a victim

How can you be sure she's actually not going to give it back?

I take it you've e-mailed her.

Unless she's actually stated that you'll never see it again, I'd give it a few days and wait for her to get back to you.

It depends on the circumstances more than anything. Time heals most wounds. I've had the crap kicked out of me by a gang of bastards for my wallet & phone but I was soon up and running again after a week of lying down. They never got caught though.

I think we need to address the fact that 50% of total crime in this Country is drug related. I've always personally believed that if religion was stopped (impossible) and a zero tolerance attitude was made towards drugs (possible) and alcohol never existed (impossible) then we'd live in a far better society.

Sterilise people at birth and make them apply for a licence to have children and we'd be even better.

Occasionally. I never remember where I picked that up from but I agree with it in theory. My best mate has 5 Brothers and Sisters but not one of them shares the same Father. He's a top lad but his family are hideous.

I think James Whales preaches that every couple of hours on his show. Virtually word for word what you said. You may have picked it up from him.

It wont ever happen though.

I have him on occasionally when I am reading, drawing or lying on the floor. It did make me smile.

A background check, financial check, mental check..... it'd do wonders for society.

From stealing a hat to effective eugenics in one easy thread.

Only on here could this kind of brilliance happen.

For what it's worth, I agree with Jim to a point, although sterilisation may make the licence somewhat useless.

I also think that Kirsty needs to give the bloody hat back. Pronto.

What's her e-mail? Put it on here and we can all plead with her to give it back.

haahahahahahahahaaa!!!

hee hee, I think that's hilarious, since I remember discussing with her that it would be VERY funny if she kept the hat, since she looked much better in it and since she was a girl she could get away with something like that. Just before we went and bought some crisps to feed Boris the swan and his army of... other swans. (Believe it or not we may have been slightly tipsy :)) She's in a couple of the pictures; she's the one in a trilby.

Sorry dude. I'm sure you'll see her again and get it back. If you're having trouble tell her to get on this forum and read all the messages asking her to give it back!!

Oh if it's any consolation she nicked some of my tinsel too.
That's no consolation at all is it.
Oh well :P

And if I can't find her or the hat then I blame armitage for talkin her into it!

You do realise that the majority of good that is done in this world is done through religious organisations don't you? How would that make society better?

Actually. I don't want to get on to this one, but it is not religion that's the problem but fanatics.

Also regarding zero tolerance approaches to drugs - what about if we legalised em? Take em out of the hands of murderous crack dealers and less crime results?

Cos prohibition has REALLY worked. nah, honest, it has.

I think the majority of evil acts are religiously motivated too. That or money. From the Catholics and their Magdalene Laundries & paedophile Priests to strict Muslims with arranged marriages & honour killings (i knew a victim of this) - you have to wonder what is wrong with the world. I am very glad that I was bought up with no religious backing as many of my friends with Jewish, Catholic or whatever parents got stricter upbringings. If I want to marry a girl then I don't have to check her religious beliefs first. With the Sikhs and the Muslims feuding around Rusholme and the Catholics and the Prodestants killing each other in Ireland I think my points are valid.

50% of crime in Britain is linked to illegal drugs. A desperate addict will still want to steal a car to help finance his addiction to Heroin wether it is legal or not.

As I may have said to you once, I intend to kick alcohol in to touch personally by the time I'm 30. I'm cutting down all the time and I feel much better for it. I may have made mistakes when I was a straight-edger with some of my actions but it's the most mentally strong I've ever been.

ok, here we go.
i like religion and religious freedom
i like some drugs and dont have a problem with other people doing others
i love alcohol.

people are always looking for something else to blame.

the only way to a better society is if there were no #!$&s, and if everyone accepted a certain degree of responsibility.

Do you have a problem with Crack addicts and Smackheads? I have a problem with society being blamed for the way these people fall apart. I also have a problem with the drink driver who killed by mates girlfriend several years ago.

so it was the alcohol that caused the death yeah? not the knobhead who thought he could handle it?

crack/ skag addicts are #!$&s, they misuse drugs that should be purely medicinal. but personally i think the dealers and pushers are the bigger problem, and most of them aren't addicts are they?

i think that's the part of Rem's post you missed, Jim.

no one's condoning drink driving, what happened to your mate's girlfriend is awful, but if people did take responsibility for the substances they want to take, whether it's drink or drugs, things like that wouldn't happen.

Wow - you guys move through your conversations fast!

Right - back to the trilby *f**king liberty*

Lets get some religious fanatics round her pad, a couple of crackheads and a drunken singing whino to cause a bit of havoc - that should sort the problem out.
