Spacemonkey sent me his pic to put up...but he also ask that I include the following disclaimer:

"spacemonkey" said:

I do not have Internet access at home. The only access I have is at work. They will not let me bring my digital camera to work to upload any pics, which means the only pics I have on my computer are ones that have been sent to me, and the only ones I've had sent to me are my professional headshots. I tell you this just so that you know that this picture is being posted as it's the only one I have, not through some kind of personal choice. Essentially, what I'm trying to say is, I AM NOT A POSEY PONCE. Thank you.

Isn't he a handsome chap :D

I haven't got an email from you, so it didn't send. Or my junk mail detector might have got a little over-exited, but I can't check that because I killed by email client thereby deleting all the junk mail. Try sending it again. It should work if your computer can see the files even if it can't display the pictures.

Ok. I wonder why you can't see them on your computer? Try opening them in a web browser, which should be able to display most kinds of images. Just use File > Open File... in your browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox or whatever you use - the options are usually about the same).

Hmm, don't like photos of myself...

So many people have these cool black and white ones, I really want one!

But, to appease the gods of this forum, I present this offering:

Batting in Barbados - the ball has just flown off my bat for four runs!

Posted Image

Taken before cricket club Christmas meal at uni 2003.

There aren't any good photos of me, because I can't smile on photos!

If your computer doesn't display the pictures it may be that they aren't associated with a program that can display them, rather than that you don't have a program that can display them. I reckon your Web browser is the most likely to be able to display them. If it can't, then they won't be any use in this thread anyway.

To open them in your browser: click on the File menu, look for something like 'Open File'. I don't know exactly what the menu item will be called because I have a totally different computer to you, but there should be something like that in the file menu. That should bring up a window that lets you find the files you want to open. Choose one of the pictures from the CD. If it won't open, then all is lost. If it does open, then you can continue to open all the other pictures one by one until you find the ones you want to post.

Apologies for this not being completely clear, but I'm essentially flying blind. I'm giving instructions for a computer system I haven't used in nearly two years. I hope they're clear enough to follow.
