From being completely confused as what to do about uni and being completely broke I seem to have landed quite nicely on my feet.
Plus Belgium was bloody awesome, brilliant week in all.

Portable DAB/FM radio with an alarm, battery and mains power (adaptor included). It's about as big as a packet of Rich Tea.
How much? £15!

We are taking her and her boyfriend to New York for 3 days, staying in a hotel in Times Square and going to The Hard Rock Cafe, and to see West Side Story on Broadway
Haven't booked anything else, so she can choose what to do, I'm guessing it's going to involve a fair bit of shopping - I've organised the boys to give her dollars for her birthday, so she'll have some money to spend
I am soooooo excited - I can't wait to see her face when she opens the box with all the tickets in it! Mum White xx

I ran past one the other day and it said "Slow Down: 40". I'm reasonably quick, but I didn't know I was *that* quick*!
*I'm sure the fact I saw a couple of blokes fixing it the next day was just a coincidence.

My mam made me smile because she is just the most gorgeous person and I love talking to her so much.
Plus I made delicious tea of honey glazed pork with homemade coleslaw and oragano potato wedges, I now have a small food baby in my belly!
It is raining and dark outside and I am all tucked up under my duvet with a cuppa about to watch Act 2 of Rigoletto, bliss!

Also, being on my own meant that sometimes I had more goes at stuff than the people who were in pairs and had to swap around. (eg: I got two goes on the off-road course. Yay! I was tonnes better at it the second time. It was mega fun.)
And then as I drove home, I got to a big roundabout just as an ambulance came up one of the roads with its siren and lights going, so I was half concentrating on keeping out of its way, and half thinking about the pretty instructor boy, and I took an exit off the roundabout that was roughly in the right kind of direction and then I got a little way along the road and realised, I have no idea if that was the right exit or not. (I've never driven this journey before, and had no satnav). Then I went a bit further and THE MOST AMAZING mast you've ever seen loomed up in front of me, and I was like well I DEFINITELY didn't get here this way, because there's NO WAY I would have missed that mast!! And so I deemed that I was going the wrong way for sure.
But I didn't really care, I had half a tank of petrol and the whole evening ahead of me, I knew I'd get home eventually. So I just kept going (helpfully all the signs pointed to places I'd never heard of before, and none of them pointed to the M40, which was where I was headed). And I went through a couple of beautiful villages, and drove along some lovely roads, and then BOOM! (like a chicken - a little in-joke for Del there) I popped out on the A40. And, magically, on the A40 - heading TOWARDS the M40! Brilliant. See, daydreaming about lovely boys always works out for the best in the end.
I'll stop rambling now.

I had a nice day at work in an Excel training session, there was only 5 of us and 2 of the girls have only been here for about a week and they're on a different team so I've not had a chance to speak to them. But they were great, and one of them seems like JUST my sort of person and we made the same kind of jokes a lot of the time, and now I don't know how to adopt her as my friend without appearing like a loon. But we'll see.
And also, there's this guy I don't see very often at all, he's pretty and friendly, which isn't bad in any way, but is a bit unexciting. But today there was a general discussion about the Italian weather at the moment, and I (probably unhelpfully) piped up that it's been raining hard in Monza this week, but is due to be dry at the weekend. To which his response was "ooo! The Grand Prix is there this weekend!" Yes, pretty boy, yes it is. And now you're pretty and friendly AND a Formula 1 fan.....
Oh yeah AND I realised that I *NEED* to take a week's holiday sometime in the next two months. Awesome. If you insist. I think I can handle going home and playing with Maisie the dog for a week

My grandad was born in cork but lived between Limerick and Tipperary growing up. His name is Michael O'Leary. There's a lot of them about though in those parts. Nowadays my family have settled in Killmallock/Charleville but when i visit Ireland we get around cork/limerick/tipp quite a lot.
I visited the rock it was beautiful and went to mass at the church once when I was younger. Hopefully going back to Ireland next summer
